Cool Girl Boots Style Challenge#3- Contemporary

Wasn't collage fun? Well- get ready to change gears BIG TIME cuz we've come to Contemporary. I found this description-

Albums in the modern style often demonstrate interesting uses of lines and shapes. Think of modern furniture with sparse lines or of modern art that relies heavily on hard edges and geometric shapes and angles to create its images. In a modern scrapbook layout, the designs look clean and usually are executed with a few well-placed lines or shapes. The modern look in scrapbooking tends to include geometric shapes, angular lines, and bold colors.
As you'd expect, accessories are downplayed (if used at all) on a modern scrapbook page. Journaling, however, may be another matter. Again, scrapbookers who prioritize journaling always find ways to incorporate it, even on modern pages. They may, for example, tuck a folded sheet of journaled text into a sleek, geometrical page pocket they've adhered to their modern layouts.

hmmm- definitely exercising our creative muscles here. But, after Charlene got LO of the day when she tried collage, I thought... we might be on to something here.

Woah- No one seems to want to give this one a shot. Here's mine... I admit it was hard. First because I had to be so choosy about placement and colors when there was so little happening in the lo. Second, because the first time I finished it my DD ( which in this case stands for DEVILISH DAUGHTER) came in and closed photoshop before I saved it. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH. So, I did this entire thing twice and, frankly, I'm a little tired of looking at it.

okay, it's so funny to me that i fretted over this challenge and even deleted a LO in progress cause i just couldn't figure out what i wanted to do. tonight, i sat down to figure out how to this challenge, and was DONE in less than 15 minutes. woo hoo - gotta love that mojo, albeit elusive at times!

oh- i'd say it meets the criteria. I like that you're using the same photo each time. The Lo's should all be really interesting to look at side by side when we're done. She's such a little cutie pie.

hehehe...I'm not using the same photo, though they have all come from the same series. :regular_s At least i don't think that I used the same photo!

I agree, Sinead....this is fun. Though so far all the challenges have been a blast. I was thinking I wanted to try it again too :)
