Hey, girls, I need your help. A friend of us, DBF's godfather, cut one of his fingers away yesterday, while working with a wood saw. They were able to find it and he got surgery to put it back, but they're not sure whether he'll be able to use his finger again. Could you girls send some "sticking vibes" his finger's way? TIA!

you got it! My FIL lost two fingers that way, back before they were very good at putting them back on. The grandkids all think it's interesting when he points at something with no finger. Let's pray this one sticks though. :)

He got a cold since 1 week and was driving his wife (= one of my collegues) nuts by complaining all the time. Yet he still wanted to help his son cut some wood since he promised he would help... and it happened! That's the proof that you shouldn't do dangerous job when you got a cold!

My dad lost the tip of his finger in a router. Unfortunately, with the nature of the tool, there was nothing left to be *found* (sorry tmi), but they were able to salvage most of the finger, and he can use it just fine. They can do amazing things now days, I hope your dbfs dad recovers fast.

Luckily it's not my FIL, it's DBF's godfather. Our families are very close, though, I work with his wife, and they are friend to my inlaws, so everyone is really worried about him! I'll probably have more news tomorrow at work!

I'll be praying. My DH has a woodshop and everytime he goes out there it scares me that he might get careless and lose a finger. Hope all works out for him.

I know how you feel, DBF and FIL are both carpenters, and they both still have 10 fingers, but that's not very common according to them! I'm scared too, but luckily they are very very careful (more than our friend, unfortunately!)
