I am TIRED tonight. And I've been counting down the minutes till the kids are in bed and it's quiet and I can veg on the couch and watching Idol. So what does John do? Tells the kids to go get ready for bed and they can watch Idol WITH us. WHAT?!
seriously, does he know me at all?? maaaan, I just want some peace and quiet. All these kids do these weeks is pick on each other and argue and momma's gettin' really sick of it.

lol - I usually watch 1/2 of the show w/DD...since their bedtime is 8:30. And before I would actually let them stay up until 9 if I wanted to just use my laptop in bed (recently I've been just staying in the living room)
It is harder to watch w/little ones. I find i need to pump up the volume...geez my girls are real chatty lol and you end up missing stuff tending to them.

LOL...we've been giving Maggie Melatonin (dr's recommendation) and putting her to bed between 6 and 6:30, so I just have Katie to deal with. hehehe Feel sorta like I'm drugging my kiddo, but for the first time in her life she's getting the amount of sleep she's supposed to be getting. She doesn't nap anymore and is now sleeping a total of 12+ hours at night. Nice.
oops...highjacked the thread, didn't I? Maybe I should take my chattiness over to the gallery! lol

I know the feeling Val!!! I end up having to DVR Idol and watching after they are in bed. I can't enjoy it while they are up. The little ones that is. My DD likes to watch it with me, but she always falls asleep after about 1/2 hr. She's 7.5.

I so hear you, Val! Since yesterday especially my litte son is behaving....well, don't have a word for it! The two together just makes it worse. This morning we had Mini Maestros, which is a musical education thing for kids - not only didn't he particpate but he was grumbling, laying on the floor as well. No matter what I did, I did wrong. Afterwards I had to go shopping for a quilt a wanna do for my nephews but I had to leave the shop before buying anything, because of him!

Since I wrote that above DDs school rang to tell me that she fel of an a rack on her face! I just had put DS to sleep in his cot, so I had to wake him up again. When I ran out the door I looked in a familiar face looking from the roof - one of cats -> INDOOR cats :whatchuta:whatchuta:whatchuta He couldn't come down so I had to climb on the roof to get him down there and than I rushed to school to pick poor DD up. She was sitting there very quietly, which is so not her. Cut in her lip, knee, arm and her right cheek is a little bit swolen, will get a big bruise :-( What a day... *sigh* I should rethink going to my pottery class this evening, you never know what might happen to me today :-(

I actually got to watch it tonight. Last night's performance is a whole different story. Todd popped in a movie for Zoie upstairs, he went off to watch in the bedroom, Jeremy was doing stuff in his room and I had the big screen all to myself.
Nathalie, hope DD is doing better.

Sometimes I can't wait until it's Keira's bedtime so I can just chill and relax a little.

Yep, they just keep confirming the theory that they are all just about a brick short of a full load........

Hmmm...Sinead, maybe that's what my DD1 needs. She woke up at 5:30 today (as with most days) and I guess she was up throughout the night watching TV too.
Totally get ya Val. I love it when the girls go to bed and it's nice and quiet. Good thing most of our shows don't start until 9 and the girls go to bed between 7 & 7:30 each night. Did they behave at least?

OMG Nathalie! Ok, you offically had the worst time, I'm digging around for a ribbon for you right now ;)
Ok, didn't turn out TOO bad, although the kids always feel the need to speak loudly when I'm trying to listen to one of the contestants sing. I really hate that. Eden fell asleep on me about 8:30, and it was nice to just let her lay on me because she is ALWAYS moving and squirming and never sits still with me.
Who did you all vote for? Jordin got my vote both last week and this. She is AWESOME.
