We put an offer in on a house this afternoon, and after a couple counters...they accepted!

We're getting a house! After 3 1/2 years (to the day) of married life, living in rental places, we are going to have a place of our own! With a yard for Jasmine to run around in, and the freedom to decorate and paint and make noise as we wish (so I can stop wondering when Jasmine wakes up screaming at 3 a.m. if it's bothering our neighbors)

Oh that is so awesome! Congratulations! Buying a house is so nerve-wracking with all those offers and counter offers. Have fun and enjoy! So what is the countdown??? How long until you get to MOVE IN?!

Closing date is April 20th, so not too long :) Our apartment lease is 'til the end of May so we'll have time to move in gradually (which is good since we need to buy appliances).

Oh Charlene!! I love it!! I'm originally from upstate NY (between Buffalo and the Falls) and oh, how I miss houses like that! With actual distinct rooms (we have a "great-room" style floor plan, which is nice, but it's definitely a catch-22 in my opinion) and a veranda at the front. And I love the color! Can't wait to see you all moved in! :o)
