Very sad news

My baby cat Bidule is dead. He had an infection since a few weeks, got to the vet 4 times in 2 weeks, and he passed away this afternoon. He was in DBF's arms and just died. At least he wasn't alone and stop suffering, but I'm so sad. We already lost a cat 1 year ago, that's so unfair! Please, if you have a cat and notice that he/she doesn't pee anymore, go to the vet immediately, it might be a death danger.

Oh my sweet Chloe...I am SO incredibly sorry :( I know what it's like to lose pets...it's NEVER easy... The last cat I lost was a wonderful stray who would actually LET me pet her...she was attacked by these two crazy dogs, and then died in my arms...it took me MONTHS to get over that!! I hope the grieving period isn't too long for you...I'm sorry you lost your baby :( ((((HUGS)))) It's true though...at least he isn't suffering any longer!

I don't think so, Chris. The first one wasn't sick, he got killed by a car. Even if this one didn't go out, he got this infection. According to the doc, that type of infection is pretty common, but it usually attacks older cats and doesn't kill, so Bidule probably had some weekness or malformation... We'll never know!

Oh Chloe, I'm so sorry. :( Last August I had to have my cat put down because he was sick...wouldn't eat or use the litter box. We had him for over 9 years.

I'm sorry, I didn't know your first kitty was hit by a car. I just assumed. Dumb me. :embaresse So sorry to hear it was an infection. Too bad our pets can't tell us what is wrong so we can take care of them right away. I know that my dog wouldn't have the cancer in his snout if he could have told me he was having problems. We just discovered the growth and there you have it.

Will you be getting another kitty? I wish there was something I could do for you, but all I can do is keep you in my thoughts and pray that you get through this sadness. (((((HUGS))))) to you my friend.

Thanks chickies! Chris, you're too cute! Dunno yet if we'll take another kitty. We've not been very lucky with the 2 we got so far, so I don't know! DBF is already asking that we try to find a new one, but I feel it would be sort of a betrayal to Bidule... Maybe later!
