Eden is driving me NUTS, girls. Every Saturday morning she pesters and pesters me to get up for no reason. She woke up at 20 after 7 this morning and by 7:30 was BEGGING me to get up because she was hungry. So I got up and got her breakfast and laid back down on the couch where she continued to pester me for 2 hours. But you know how it is when you're half asleep... you can't quite figure out how to tell her to get the hell away. She kept climbing all over me, knees in my stomach, asking me questions, begging me to get up (for no reason, just because), insisting that I 'babysit' her dollies. Mind you, she's 4 1/2.
ARGH!!!!! By the time I got up I was mad. If she would've just let me sleep (in peace) for an hour I would've gotten up all rested and smiling... instead I stomped around and grumped at everyone. When I was little we would've NEVER done that kind of thing. Johnny get's his own breakfast and keep himself occupied just fine... why is she so annoying???

UH OH VAL... sorry your Saturday morning got wrecked. I know how you feel... my 7 year old talks to me every moment she's awake. Sometimes I wish I could shut her off for awhile.

Oh no!!! I hear ya girl! My 4 yr old comes in our room when he wakes up- and for the longest time, he'd pester us, too. We'd even have the TV turned on for him with a snack, LOL! Still, that never worked. He's finally to the point where he climbs up on my side and lays there for a few minutes, mind you he's wiggling around like crazy, but it's a little easier to wake up that way, as opposed t the pestering.
Oh, I hope (fort your sanity) it's a phase that she outgrows quickly!

Well, I keep telling myself to have a talk with her when I'm NOT sleeping about this issue, but I always forget till I'm in the situation. I used to be better about setting out breakfast and everything Friday nights before I go to bed so they have everything they need... probably should be more diligent about that.

OMG too funny!! I keep looking for my 8 yr old daughters mute button but it seems as though my absence of a mute button was passed onto her genes. Can't fault her for being "me". YIKES!! I must have drove my parents NUTS! Sorry that you are feeling bad. Bribing is always a good tool to give you some time to settle your nerves...;>

Why is it I have to drag my kids (5 1/2 & 3 1/2) out of bed every day at 8:30 to get them ready for school but on the weekends they wake us up at 7:15!! I feel your pain, Val!

The computer Yvette? Isn't that Mommy's toy (all of our toys)? Ha, ha. I can't complain I was up at 5 am this morning who knows why?! Can't seem to get sleep when I can have it and need it when I can't, that's always the way! Now my DD is running around with her PopStar headset on screaming (singing) at the top of her lungs antagonizing the dog. Maybe that's why I was up early...to get some peace and quiet!

LOL I am smiling cuz I get up at 6 on the weekends so I can have that hour of peace before my girls wake up.....I have to or I will be a bear the rest of the day! I also have two girls who are very much into Barbies so they immediately go there first to play so lucky for me I get a bit of time before the non stop talking happens! Hope you get some peace soon Val!

Sorry, your post made me laugh ..... Here it is the opposite. My 14 year old dd can sleep all day long. And that bothers me a lot. If she would have it her way we would not see her at all LOL Still, I know what you mean and yes, it is annoying, and no, there is not mute button ;-) I do not have any pointers for you, you just have to hang in there :embaresse And two kids can be so different, I know my oldest was always sleeping wel, never bothered us, and the youngest has always been an early bird .... Now, at 11 and 14, the long nights and the early mornings seem to be way back in the past, so trust me, there will be a day you can really laugh abt this yourself ! Good luck !

oh Val, I can totally relate! I have tried to explain to Henry that if he'd just let me sleep a bit longer he wouldn't have such a cranky mom.

Dude. I feel ya, though my wake up call is usually more like 5 or 6am. So not cool!
Oh, and I asked Maggie the other day if she had some illness which required that she talk in order to breathe. She said, "But I've got lots of words, Mommy!" duh, kiddo, that's not news to me at all! lol

YOU LET HIM PLAY WITH YOUR PHOTOSHOP? You're brave. I used to let Johnny tinker around with my PSP, but not with PS. With my luck he'll screw something up.
