I also posted this in the Ps thread, but it is supposed to work for elements too.
There is a program to view all your brushes. It is called abrviewer and it is free. Just do an internet search and you should find it. I've downloaded it, but not installed as I am battling other pc problems :) A bunch of people in another group I belong to have used it and say it's great!

yes it does! it is wonderfull! i use it, and im a dip user, but you can export them from the viewer at thumbnail size and then they can be used as elements for us dip users! i love it!

I use it to put previews of all my brushes in a folder. Then when I need a brush I just look through the previews to find which one I need. Then I just load that one set of brushes. Makes my bruhes pallete a much nicer place to be.

I use it {abrViewer} to put previews of all my brushes in a folder. Then when I need a brush I just look through the previews to find which one I need.

What a great idea.

I downloaded and installed abrViewer, but I did not get any help file with it - did anyone else get Help file - so I just experimented.

I figured out how to see previews and I attempted using the Export command to save them. There were two choices - thumbnail and preview pane, I believe. They both saved in a .png format. Saving thumbnails made a series of files each with a single brush "design." Saving the preview pane gave a single .png file which contained all the designs in that one brush set.

My problem is that when I try to view the previews, because they are both png files, they open in Photoshop (I have Elements 3.0), which is a very slow process which sort of defeats the purpose of being able to preview the brushes to decide what to load.

I would be grateful if you could explain how you saved your previews to make them useful.

Thanks

Becky

Oh, It doesn't seem to work for a MAC. Does anyone know of a program like this that does work on a MAC?

Thanks, Laura
