So, in case I haven't mentioned it, I'm teaching Adobe Creative Suite 2 at the local university on Monday nights (yes, that would be this evening).

One of my students came in to do the exercise we are running through this evening (darn overachiever) earlier today.

NONE of the computers in this lab (which all have the CS2 suite installed on them) can "place" a PSD file into an Illustrator document. They are "running out" of memory.....!

ARGH!

So, I guess it's use my laptop and the projector to run through the tutorials tonight...which is what I was going to do, but they were all going to follow along using the lab computers.

SIGH!

Oh booger what a nightmare that will turn out to be, but at least you found out early instead of at the start of the class!

ugh, Rachel! I guess it's time for your supervisor to put pressure on the IT guys so that they up the capabilities of the computers! Hope they get it sorted out for the next class. Good luck tonight!

Glad you made it through okay! :) You'd THINK that if the college was going to offer the class, that they would make the computers acceptable for it! lol!

The IT guy installed them wrong, and it's a configuration issue, which will be solved by the end of Wednesday.

Phew!

Oh boy ;-) Glad to hear it's just a minor problem.
