anyone done literature review

I'm having a difficult time finding exactly the "right" literature I need for my project.
I'm working on the first 3 chapters of my action research paper. Finish this and it's one more class until I finish!

I'm wondering...if you've done literature review before and if you can't find the "exact" stuff you're looking for how did you make all the "other" research work for you?

Please help!!!

Laura: email me more specifics and your specific assignments, etc. and I'll see if I'm able to help. I've definitely done a fair amount of "lit. review"...but primarily for young adult and adolescent readers. Still, I'm guessing the basic ideas should translate...
