Is Val sleeping in? Where is our Wednesday chatter thread?
So, I am home again with Dane. I am sure my boss must be ready to fire me. *sigh* I hate that feeling. I hate disappointing people.
What are you guys up to today?

Sorry about Dane still being sick and the guilt you're feeling :(
Thanks for starting this...it's so much fun to "chat" with people a bit more!
I've already packed three boxes :D I'm pretty excited! But since we close next Friday (we're not moving in until the 28th though) it's about time to get serious about it!
Jasmine thinks she wants a nap (likely just wants to nurse) so I might get to scrap this morning :)

Hi to all :)
I know that feeling as well especially cause none of my co-workers have kids.
Well today I am packing and getting things done we are going out of state for the weekend leaving early tomorrow and coming back on Monday.
It's the baby's 1st trip and our first trip with 2 kids (scary).
We are going to Mexico City for a wedding and it's a 20 hour drive that we will do in 2 days I know it's crazy but we really wanna go and haven't gone on any type of outing for more than a year already. We'll see how it goes lol

Liz, I hope it goes well! We haven't traveled far with just one, let alone with two! At this point nothing seems quite important enough to brave that!! :)

Thanks. My mother in law is going with us which is a big plus since she is their regular baby sitter she will help alot!
I just wish it was for at least a week and not a weekend :S We'll try to go back in the summer.

I'm doing a bit of surfing online, loading a few things in the dishwasher as I walk in and out of the kitchen, have a load of laundry going, got butter softening for chocolate chip cookies...which I so don't need!
There is about 3-4 inches of snow here...whaaaaaaaaaaa that's not any way to have spring break! My biggest decision today is whether to shower or stay in my jammies all day. Gotta love spring break when your kids already had theirs, sometimes the quiet house is so peaceful.
Really I think I'm doing all of the above to avoid reading more articles and starting to write the biggest part of my paper today. UGH. I also think I'll be cancelling my training session tomorrow at the Y. My rough draft must be submitted on Friday.
Charlene, packing so not fun but glad you are happy to be moving.
Rachael sorry your child is sick again.
Liz just a bit jealous of your trip to Mexico! I could so use a "real" vacation!

Rachael, I hope Dane is feeling better soon!
I'm home and working on the newsletter (yep, it'll be going out soon!) and I need to call my dr about switching meds. Didn't get that done yesterday.

Oh my gosh, Lisa, 20 hours in a car with 2 kids?????? Good luck to you, hon!
Charlene, I dont miss packing at all, but youve got the right idea to just stick with it, one box at a time, thats all you can do!
Laura, You sound quite productive! I am impressed!
Sinead, I can hardly wait to see the newsletter! ;)
Kimberly, I *hate* dealing with insurance companies for anything! Good luck to you!
Yvette, I am sorry you have to work. :( Its definitely a 4 letter word!
Did I leave anyone out? I hope not.
And where the heck is Val? STILL not here??

Houghton is near NOTHING.
Daniel (my brother) went there. It's about 70 miles from Buffalo, 70 miles from Rochester. i.e. 70 miles from civilization.
(it's gorgeous there, but I would have gone crazy that far from anything!)
I bet we could work something out depending on what your schedule looks like...there is a town between here and there so maybe we could meet up?!?! You can PM or email me and we can talk.

That's awesome!!
Yeah, the whole campus has wifi (they give a laptop to all the students) but I'm not surprised that there's no cell phone reception! I'm glad they warned you ;)
I would love to meet up with you. We can see what things look like when you're here. It would be a pity to be so close and miss seeing you though :)

Hey, I'm here. The 3rd Biggest Loser round started this week so I've been spending a little more of my computer time over there. And then I decided to spend my usual coffee/chat time this afternoon cleaning. It REALLY needed to be done.
Sounds like everyone is having a full day!

Mimi I know that we got snow specifically for the reason that I was meant to stay home today. I've read more in the past two days than I think I have all year. I still have articles, yes plural, to read.
I've been productive for the sheer fact that I was using laundry and such as a diversion for the reading. You know I've jumped onto the procrastinator thread, therefore I've been procrastinating on the research.

HI chicks,
I'm feeling sick started with a really sore throat and know I'm coughing and everything is soo sore :-( Having that, two days ago I had to prepare 42 mini cupcakes, decorating our dining room and wrap all presents for DS's 2nd birthday yesterday. In the morning we had to go to the indoor playcentre - it was a catch up with DD's classmates during easter holiday. That's what the cupcakes were for. As most of you moms know it's loud in there so that is why I lost my voice completely. When we went home DS fell asleep in the car, which is no good as he won't continue to sleep at home. Hubbie came home early and helped me cleaning the house while I prepared Liam's birthday cake - a lokomotive. Then we set together and watched DS unwrapping his presents and played with both kids for a while. My friend came over with her two boys and we had the birthday cake and Liam had to unwrap another present. When the guests left I prepared dinner - Liam's favorite: Spaghetti Bolognese but we weren't very hungry so we had a late dinner and the kids went to bed afterwards ;-) Somehow I managed to stay awake for an our and a half but then I really had to go and fell asleep immediately. Woke up a few times, first from a noice - DH fell over a toy or something and then a couple of times coughing. But I went back to sleep straight away which is unlikely for me, so you can see how exhausted I am...
Oh, one good thing: I was able to buy 6 audio books for only 50EUR ( are that about 86USD?) and really good books. New they would have cost about 150EUR!
Have you managed to read this long story? Call me Miss Chatterbox *lol*
