NSBR Toot: I'll be getting an award in May...

I just found out today that I'll be receiving an award in May from my professional organization.

For those who don't know, outside of TDC, I'm a technical writer. I'm also involved in an organization called STC (Society for Technical Communication). Let's just say "heavily" involved doesn't begin to cover it... :D

So, anyway, the award....

I'll be getting the "Distinguished SIG Service Award" this year, for my participation in the Online SIG. SIG = Special Interest Group. The reason I'm getting the award? I've attended a conference call every month since August, and I've organized the SIG's conference activities for the conference coming up in May.

I don't normally do NSBR toots, but I've been trying to share more.... :)
