Is there anything I can do to help clear up baby acne? Lucas has a fair ammount, and I'd like to clear some of it up before we go for pictures in a couple weeks.
Any advice?
TIA!

I've always heard to just leave it alone & that it will eventually go away on its own. But I believe I've seen some sort of cream/product in the baby aisles at Target or at BRU maybe that is supposed to help get rid of it. My girls never really had baby acne, they always got cradle cap though & that was a pain to get rid of especially since they had so much hair in the beginning!

Yep, I've heard the "leave-alone" route is best. I knew a girl who picked at her son's and that's really not advisable - LOL! I guess my only suggestion would be to use the healing brush after the fact!! Good luck!

Just slap some oxy10 on there.....
LOL, can you imagine? that would probably dry up the poor kiddo's skin so bad!!

My Em was born with beautiful skin and then by the time we left hospital she had heaps of spots all over her face. As tempting as it was to do something about them we left them alone and they eventually went away. I guess one of the things I would worry about when using a cream is that the results maybe worse than the original problem...you never know how that delicate skin is going to react. I'm with Christine - I'd go with the photo editing fix.

Thanks guys! I'll just be sure to keep his face clean... and I just read to try and keep anything with frangrance off (like baby lotion).
As for the PS route... I don't have (real) backdrops yet, so I'm actually taking him somewhere else for his 6 week photos. Shock, I know! LOL! Call it research.... ;) They don't do an PS stuff to their photos. (Its a Picture People in the mall)

Andrea, sorry to hear about his baby acne. Rebekah got it too, which was strange to me since Jasmine never had it. It did clear up on its own (the book I use as my constant reference says at about 6 weeks it should start going away).

I think at Picture People you can pay for the images on CD? I can't remember. If so, that might be a good option so that you can do some *magic* when you get home to your pc. Good luck! Can't wait to see your family portraits!!

Eden had a decent amt of this for a couple weeks after she was born. Johnny never did. I believe it's simply a reaction of your hormones leaving his little body... damn estrogen.

I just wanted to update that Lucas' Ped suggested some Hydrocortizone (1%) a couple times a day. Its starting to work! Its less red and starting to dry up!
YAY!
