Yipee Chicago!!

I got home today and my son said did you hear the news??? Nope, being at the mall equates no news. Anyway he told me that Chicago got the USOC nod for the 2016 Olympics! This would be so exciting to have the olympics just 25 minutes from here.

I've always wanted to go the the olympics. I just think it is so cool to be swept up in the world community all competing in sports as equals.

Now we have to beat out several cities like Rio Di Janiero and several others.

The timeline until the final decision is in line 2009.

I lived in Atlanta during the 96 Olympics and it was SO much fun!! I waited tables at a really nice restaurant and made mucho dinero during that time & it was a blast to go to some of the events. The city got some really cool things during that time as well.

Will be keeping our fingers crossed for Chi-town!!
