I don't watch it and didn't see it last night, but I've heard a lot of talk about it this morning and it seems most are thinking that the reason it ended without much fanfair is basically to send the message that in the end....they are no different than any other family. I don't know if that makes sense or not because I never saw it, but just what I heard.

Yeah, but they had a couple guys that looked suspicious in the diner. One at the counter, one at a table. Keeping a close eye on them. We were on the edge of our seats, thinking that at the last minute someone was going to whack the whole family or something... and then NOTHING. Just a black screen.

oh, that would have really ticked me off. The series finale is supposed to answer the questions!!

I guess one theory is that Tony died, and that was the end. Who knows?

All I can say is, I am so glad we stopped watching a few years back.

I really think that they were showing that life was the same - DH and I think one of the guys was FBI and one from the NY gang tailing him. And I think he just did alot of suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat...
And the song - like thanks for all the good times kinda thing...

And I totally think he left it open for a movie (in like 10 years knowing him!) LOL!

I don't watch it myself, but I heard on the radio this morning that a lot of people were calling their cable companies thinking that the signal had gone off!

It just went totally blank! Totally - we were like - what happened - and then the credits started rolling. Kinda weird! Medow didn't even make it into the restaurant - which was doubly weird!!!
