ugg, someone please comfort me, and tell me this is normal...

For the last two days I have had THE WORST menstral cramps. I was thinking braxton hicks at first, but they are NON-STOP.

Any of you had or have this? I am 30 weeks this week, and I never felt this with my other babies. It's driving me nuts and I don't have an appointment until Friday. :retarded:

Oh, gosh, Kimberly. Do they stop when you lay down and rest? Aren't you supposed to rest on one side verus the other? I don't remember... I'm not sure what to tell you... do you have a nurses hotline you could call? Or somewhere to go get checked out to be on the safe side?
Big hugs honey! Keep us updated!!!!

Kimberly, it might just be the ligaments stretching, but I'd still call the doc and get them to check you out. That would give you some peace at least. I remember all sorts of pulling/cramping/etc pain from my pregnancies, and there seemed to be more with Kate--especially as I neared the end--than with Maggie.

I do remember with my 4th having that, but I was on bed rest at that time because I was at 32 weeks and in labor. I'd get that when it was close to the 4 hr time that I needed to take my meds to keep the labor from progressing. I definitely would call the doctor right away. Better safe than sorry is my motto when it comes to stuff like this. Keep us posted!!!

I'd ask...likely just ligaments or b/h contrax, but it's a bit early if they're trying to actually do anything!!! (((hugs)))

I'm gonna be no help since I never had a baby, but I hope it's nothing serious and you'll soon feel better. Take care!

I neveer had anything like that either. I'd agree that you should call into the Dr's office this morning, if you haven't yet, just to be safe. Likely they'll tell you it's completely normal, but then you will be able to rest easier hearing that from them.

I ditto what everyone else said. I would call the Dr. It could very well be strecthing or B/H, but it is best to be safe!

Keep us updated :)

It does sound like ligament stretching or braxton hicks to me too, but I would still call the doctor & see if they can monitor you in the office for a bit to find out for sure. Definitely rest (I know kinda difficult with 3 other kiddos) & keep us updated :)

A few weeks ago I started having contractions that I didn't think much of at first, but then they lasted about 2 1/2 hrs. They consistently got closer and harder, more intense. My doctor told me that when I start doing that to lay down and drink alot of water. That should stop anything. He said if that doesn't stop them, then definitely call him. Hope everything is okay. Let us know. ((hugs))

Well, the cramps are still there, I think I need to call the doc. BUT, I am noticing that they are much better when I lay down and much worse when I sit in my office chair. (go figure huh. buaahaaa) I am trying to drink lots of water and lay down a bit. I am kinda afraid to call my doc cause she may want me to come in and she is 2 hours away. HAAA! I will let you know. I hope its normal. teeheehee, last nght he wasn't too active so we put this HUGE 2million cw flashlight on my tummy to make him mad, and it worked! HA, he did a full toss. HA!!!!!

LOL! Now don't you hope he sleeps well like that AFTER he's born. LOL! :D They also always told me to lie on my left side when I was in preterm labor. I guess it takes more pressure off of something (can't remember what anymore...it was about 3 years ago this month that I went into preterm labor). More than likely if it gets better when you are laying down that it is braxton hicks. That is what my doc told me was the difference between BH and the real thing. And I also had more BH with each of my pregnancies and you'd think by #4 I could have been able to tell the difference, but even when I was in preterm labor, I just blew it off as BH. My doctor wasn't too thrilled with me for waiting 8 hours to call him, but I didn't want to wake him up at 1am.

WOW! I hope all is well with you and baby! I know when I had my dd I had pains and called the hospital, they asked if my water had broke and I said no so they told me not to come in until then. It's a good thing I didn't listen cuz it would have been too late then! Trust your mommy instincts and I can't wait to hear that everyone's ok!

Oh Kimberley...I hope everything is ok with you. It was about 3 years ago this week that I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks and the hospital stay was horrendous. I hope that is NOT what it is and that it's all false or stops for you. I had 3 kids at home too when they put me on complete bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy and I know how tough that is. Although...that's when I discovered digi scrapping.

But..... please keep us posted. I'm thinking about you today..sending good thoughts your way!!!

I am here! Goood to go! Haaaa! I went and they hooked me up to all the machines and stuff and monitored me for a couple hours. I did have a couple contractions while I was there, but nothing consistant. YAY. So, I am still having the same yucky pains, and they don't know what is causing it, the pains (although not contractions) were registering on the monitors so they are stumped. But, baby Jack is okay and they did a fiber test to predict early labor and it came back negative. They offered me some type of med called vicceral or something like that, but its one of those that make you all drowsey, and well, I have tooooo many kids for that. Buahahaaa! Thanks for thinking of me though. You girls are so amazing!

Aren't you supposed to rest on one side verus the other?
Big hugs honey! Keep us updated!!!!

I should ask about that cause ya know they say Left side, but when I was at the u/s they asked me to lay on my right cause the baby was in there wacky. But yea the left has to do with your organs no weighing on the baby I think.
