I REALLY wish I could watch the Army Wives show. It'd be nice to see how realistic they keep it. I haven't heard whether we're going to get that show here or not.

I have the first 2 episodes of Army wives on my DVR and I'm just waiting for a childless/dhless moment to watch them. Jason didn't want to watch it at all. Is Starter Wife the one with Deborah Messing?

Hey, I'm watching both. Amry Wives is good. I've wondered how realistic it really is.

I LOVE Starter Wife. It is so well writen. I can't wait for the next episode. I'm sad that it's only a 6 hour mini series and it's half over.

I can't remember which chanel they are on. I have them programed in Tivo to record all new episodes of each show. Hopefully someone else will know which channel.

Army Wives is on Lifetime. The new ones air on Sundays and they do lots of reruns.

Starter Wife is on USA - yes it's the one with Debra Messing! New ones on Thursday and reruns of it inbetween.

Army wives - um somewhat realistic from my 10-year-ago-air force wife memories. I'm sure it's a little different as to Army and we weren't officer family. So the tea party and such didn't happen. They told me about family services while Michael was in Korea for the year, but I never went and no one ever contacted me. So it's different from my experiences for sure. You'll have to look for it, Laura, or wait for the DVD and tell us what you think!

I can get DH to watch AW, for he loves Catherine Bell (she was on JAG). SW is on when he's at work, so I can watch it right then too!

I'm going to have to check out ST. I didn't realize it was on yet. I saw a review in People and they didnt' love it, but they said Debra Messing was good in it and they figured a lot of women would really like it. I'll have to check my Video on Demand. Often those shows are on there.

Update: SW is not on my VOD, but Army Wives is and they have a show called Inside Army Wives and the Real Army Wives. I'll have to check this out this week since Jason is gone.

I was wondering if Army Wives was realistic too. Definitely need to check it out, but havent had the chance. I keep forgetting.

So it focuses on officer wives?? No offense to officers wives, but most the army is enlisted not officers :P

I started watching Army Wives and I do like it. I rarely watch tv but have caught the first episodes a couple of times. I saw the second one too and will still watch. I swear the girl Roxy, looks like Katie Couric with long hair.

Somehow they've intermingled officers' wives with enlisted wives and show some of both not just from the officers' wives perspectives. I also like that they've got an army husband of a female officer into the mix.
