Tonight I gave Lily a bowl of whole strawberries. She took a bite of one and then pushed the bowl away. She told me I needed to put sugar on them. She said they tasted like strawberries; she wanted them to taste like sugar. :whatchuta
guess I've been putting too much sugar on her berries.:embaresse I think I've said this before--I'm more dad than mom . . .

"more dad than mom" -- ROFL. Over here, it would be "more grandma than mom"

LOL! We had strawberries last night too. I finally bought Splenda and I put a little bit of that on the berries now instead of sugar. But I can't eat the berries without it cuz my Mom used to put sugar on them too.

You guys have made more work for yourselves. lol Maggie has no clue that strawberries come any way other than straight from the pack and rinsed off. I even make her take the green top off herself! hehehe At least she doesn't expect too much from me now. lol

LOLOLOLOLOL!!!! You have the right attitude. Our problem in our house is with apples. My dh insists on peeling them and cutting them up and I refuse, but the kids get so used to that and they want it.

you are so right! I cut up and peel almost all fruit for them. However, I did refuse to peel grapes. I tried to give Lily a whole peach the other day and she looked at me like I was insane.
ahh, the irony is I usually try to do the least amt of work possible.

LOL! It was my husband that started peeling the peel off to begin with. URGH! :)
I give my kids opportunities to 'try' the peel and see it they're old enough to like it 'yet.' So far, my oldest (he's five) has started to eat the peel off the apple- the trade off is that he gets a whole apple. And feels like a big boy. Matthew still has texture issues, so he's more often getting the peel off.
