Our youngest cat, 2.5 year old Cleo, is spending the night at the vet's tonight.
She vomited yellow stuff (the vet says it is bile) last night, and she hasn't been eating...although apparently she's been drinking, because she's not dehydrated.
So DH took her in today, and the vet is keeping her overnight to make sure everything is okay, including running a full blood panel workup.
We'll get a call between 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. tomorrow, letting us know what the deal is. Hopefully it is a quickly treated infection, and she can be back with us tomorrow night.
So, if you have time, please spare a positive thought or two for Cleo...she's one of my kids and it would be hard to lose her at this young age.

Well, the vet is pretty sure she has a low grade pancreatitis:

But she definitely is not happy there, so we are taking her home...I told the vet I was surprised that they didn't call right at 8 a.m. and say "Take her home!" :)
I believe hers may be a chronic/mild case. We're pretty attuned to our cats, so I think we caught it early.

Glad your kitty is back at home. Sounds like it is pretty treatable; good thing you were able to catch it early.

Funny story....we walk into the vet's office, and the assistant goes back to get Cleo (and put her in our carrier). She brings Cleo out, and moment Cleo sees us she stops hissing and growling and starts meowing pitifully like "my humans, take me OUT of here".....
Turns out that the moment DH left her behind yesterday, she turned into howling/hissing cat and did not fail to let anyone know of her displeasure. :)

Glad she's back home and that you know what's wrong. Hopefully she'll feel better very soon and she won't have any other episode after this one! Still sending healthy vibes her way... and good luck vibes your way, if you have to restrain her food for a few days! ;-)

When our last Bidule was sick, just before he passed away, we brought him to the vet to try to cure him, and he was exactly the same. When I came to bring him back home, the doc told be he was terrible and that nobody could approach him. I opened the cage, and he was all sweet and cute with me. I took him in my arms, he was quiet and then he saw the vet and started to growl again!
