what kind of mac does everyone have?

I have an eMac I love my baby but I would upgrade to the 20" iMac at the drop of a hat if we had the money LMAO.

My partner has an iBook, G4 power mac and G5 powermac with dual 23" screens (can you tell he is in the video industry? LMAO)

OMGoodness, I hear you on upgrading for sure! I have an eMac SuperDrive (both at work and at home) and a 15in iBook G4 laptop, which I use for most everything scrapping related, cause I can scrap anywhere and I travel for work. I love my baby too but I would just die if I could afford the iMac! 2 of the designers at work have them and the big bossy lady, SuperDrives too. I got to use it on a iMovie project a couple weeks ago and almost freaked out when I had to go back to my eMac.
DH is a designer and he uses a PC but has fallen in love with my mac, so as soon as he finishes school, we'll be adding a PowerMac and 27in screen too!
Okay, now I sound like a freak.

sadly, I only have a 2001 iMac G3 :(

But I guess that could be construed as a positive - if I were in the windows world, I'd be sooooooo obsolete! :)

Very good point! My hubby's 2001 PC is a dinosaur and I bet that iMac of yours is still plugging along. What operating system are you running? Using an external drive for storage? That would help with processing power.

I'm running Panther and have a 80GB hard drive. I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and get me some external storage as I am down to 18GB free now. Or better yet, pick me up a G5!! LOL!! Sometimes things don't move as fast as I'd like in PSE but otherwise I'm pretty happy :)

Imac G5 here. I was lucky enough to be positioned to be pc shopping when they were introduced last fall and snatched up one of those babies. That was when I switched. I loaded Tiger in July, 80gs, and running like a gazelle. My store also happens to be two doors down from the Apple store....dangerous location. kids and dh use windose. sorry for them, but son is saving for a mini mac, he's caught on!!!!! Would love to get a g4 notebook now...dreams are good.

I just made the switch 3 weeks ago. I have an imac G5 2g RAM and 400g hard drive. So far I love it. The biggest reason I switched was for the video capabilaties. My 2002 pc just couldn't handle it. So far I just love the mac. Of course the 2g RAM helps with everything running smoothly.

I still have lots to learn but I love all the things that came with the mac that you would have to install with a pc - such as iphoto, etc.

it's so nice to know there are other mac lovers out there - when i started digi scrapping, i totally asumed that most would be using mac - due to the fact that they have always been the gold standard in publishing...but i was wrong. sometimes it's been frusterating 'cause so many of the tuts. are written for windows...oh well - i've found new friends!! yeah!!

i have a 17" G4 - imac w/800mhz 768mb ram super drive and a new 17" G4 powerbook w/1gb ram super drive and a 200gb ehd and if that's not enough (lol!) it's all running on a 54gb wireless network. spoiled, yes - absolutely!! (the network is because my dh has it set up for his tech. comp...so i just get to borrow space!!!)

I have an old G4 that is getting full and slow, but I am in the Graphic Arts industry and always need more space....have a zip drive for all the clients files (they are never on the harddrive) the rest of the space is for me......Just gotta clean it up sometime so things move faster....
