Why? Why won't it work for me?

All I'm trying to do is print out some layouts today. Before my printer did a wonderful job. Lately it prints all the photos dark. They don't look like that on my screen. I could put a bright yellow paper on there and it will be bright on paper as it is on my screen - but not my photos.

This is so irritating. I don't know how to fix it. We can't go buy a new printer, there's really nothing wrong with this one. I just replaced the ink cartridges this morning before I started printing. The first one turned out fine, just the way I see it on the computer screen, but the others...not so much. I just wanted to get my MIL's book done. One less thing for me to worry about.

So, now I have to find somewhere to get them printed out I supposed. I'm doing MIL's book in an 8x8 size, does anyone have experience having this size printed professionally? Like if I should send it to Target online or Kodak, will they not stretch it to fit an 8x10 piece of paper?

Any suggestions are appreciated. I'm super irritated now, so I'm going to remove myself from my computer chair, I'll check back in a bit. Thanks for letting me vent :)

I print my pages at Costco.. It's affordable and fast.. And my pages look really good!

I do mine at Sams and love them. I place my 8x8's on an 8x10 background, they print them and I just trim off the excess. They're approximately $1.58 per print.
