just got off the phone with one of my bestest friends. She had called me earlier in the day but I wasn't able to get to the phone.
turns out she's at O'Hare and wants to get together. My house is a disaster. Her hubby will freak!
oh well.
guess I better go try to tidy up something.
dang, I should have given her the wrong direx to my house, could have bought myself some time. well maybe the friday afternoon rush hour traffic will slow them down.

lol at being back online! Take them out for ice cream or a smoothie or a chit chat at the park :)
Or else start piling things in your laundry basket and hauling them to a closet that won't be opened until they leave lol.

school was really invented by moms, wasn't it, bwaahahaahaha
my friends got lost on their own LOL. but now the kids are just so impatient waiting for them. and I'm hungry.
dang, I think Lily watches too much TV. she just said "Cartoon Network" for no apparent reason. And she doesn't even watch Cartoon Network.
I'm hijacking my own thread?

I was going to call my neighbor and ask her if she'd like to stash all my junk while they're here.

lol you crack me up! One of these days, Mimi, we have got to get together. You'd have us all rolling in the floor!

actually you'd probably be bitterly disappointed. I'm sure I'm much funnier online than IRL. Unless I've known you for 10 years. Or maybe if I had a drink or 2?
But I'd love to get together!
My friends have come and gone. It was great seeing them. Our friendship is one of those where even if you haven't seen or spoken or emailed in a long time it doesn't matter. Just pick up wherever you left off.

Glad you had a great time, and I am sure she could have cared less about the state of your house... I always use the line, about preferring the lived in look LOL

omg, this is embarrassing! I was just in DD's room and found 2 stacks of neatly folded clothes. My friend's 9yo daughter was in there and folded DD's clothes that had been scattered around.

Oh my goodness lol.
ETA: I have to say that I feel embarrassed too. i don't always make my bed and my PJs are usually just thrown on top of my bed...or if I've changed into my PJs, my clothes from the day are just thrown on top of my bed. DDs' bedroom is pretty bare and no clothes on their bed/crib or anything. But how friendly my DD1 is (and how she loves her bedsheets, esp when I change them to wash) she always invites people back there to our bedrooms. And our bedroom is right next to theirs so I'm always embarrassed that when people go back there they will glance over to the side and see my unmade bed and just gasp lol.
Luckily I don't have much clothes in my girls room...*sigh* I wash them after just 1 wearing! Yeah...we have tons of laundry lol.

LOL! You're too funny! I probably would have shoved everything into closets, swiffered quickly and hoped she wouldn't notice. LOL!

Man Mimi I wouldn't be complaining bout the 9 yo folding clothes I would be ringing her Mama and getting her back to stay for a day or ten! Let her fold, sweep, wash whatever to her hearts content!
People who know me well know my house is never sparkly clean and tidy so if they want to come visit they come visit me and ignore it or do some cleaning for me!

Oh NO! I'd be in the same "trouble" as you f I had a friend drop by this weekend! Hope you can get it tidied up, and if not, who cares! Right? The visiting is what is really important, not how clean your house is! :)

Mimi, I think it's the 9yo's mother that scarred her if she was folding YOUR laundry! But nonetheless. get her back there and take full advantage! ;)
