how long does it take you to blog?

I don't know if I am a moron or what but I feel like blogging can take forever, what with posting pics and stuff.

It depends! Since I switched my blog over to Wordpress from Blogspot & began using Windows Live Writer to do my posts it's ALOT quicker! Especially loading the images, Blogspot took forever & a day to load images sometimes!

okay, am i just a big doofus (okay, don't answer that - i think we already know the answer!), but..... i fell like i'm taking the long way when i insert pics into blogger. i click on the little image icon, go through the steps to insert a pic, and then it posts my picture at the top of my post. not where i want it. so then i have to grab that pic and drag it down to the spot in my post i wanted it to go. what gives? can't i just insert a pic wherever i feel like it without having to do all this moving around? i want to type ....insert pic....type some more....insert a pic....or whatever. am i making any sense??

Christine, do you use blogger? I usually upload one pic that way and move it to where it's supposed to be and then switch over to html mode. Then I copy/paste the code and change the url of the pics. (oh, and i usually have the pics hosted somewhere like photobucket first so that i've got the urls handy.) that's when i blog. which we all know is fairly infrequently. lol

This is exactly what annoyed me the most about blogger & why I switched to Wordpress & Windows Live Writer. Unfortunately WLW doesn't work with Blogger as far as posting images. You can use it to do your posts but you would have to go back in & edit the post to add the images thru Blogger. Not really saving any time or working around their annoying problem!

Mimi here's the link to WLW, its a free download that works with most blog services. I first read about it @ DST when Connie from DigiScrapInfo posted about it. Its really easy to use & you can resize your images directly in the program, change fonts & colors, save drafts of posts, publish posts, & I believe it even has the feature where you can tell it the time & date you want a post to be posted like if your gone or on vacation etc!

I am wondering what Windows Live Writer is also, unless that is what is now in my Word 2007!!

I have been using the Flock web browser, which is just like FireFox, but has all these neat extensions. I can do everything from my blog window. Takes me just a few minutes to blog now!

oh man, I'm right there with ya..... I keep thinkin, I'm just gonna do a quick post.. Then an HOUR later, I'm finally done...
I have to edit/resize my pics.. Adding them in is pretty fast. But I can talk a LOT!!! And since I type like I talk, my posts rarely even make any sense! ROFL!!
SO I'll re-read them 2-3 times, and edit and edit and finally think... OH he!! that's GOOD enough! LOL!

I love my Flock!! Not only is my blog integrated into it, but also my Flickr and Photobucket!!
