Ok, I need your help. Maggie has a plethora of dolls (like 20 or more). The problem is that they don't really have a home in her room, so at the moment they're piled on the floor--that's a sad state for a bunch of dollies. I did have a little doll crib set up, but there's so many that there's not really room for them. What do you girls do with an abundance of dolls? She plays with several of them every day, so I need something that would be easy access for her to get the dolls and also to put them up. Any ideas?

How about one of those stuffed toy hammocks?

I was just about to say you should try a Pet Net...they have them at Walmart...I think mine was about $7, or so ;) You could try hanging it lower down on the walls, in a corner, where she can still reach her dollies :)

Hmmmm, how about only keeping the ones she plays with most in the crib and then keeping the rest in a basket or storage tote in the closet or under the bed? That way if she wants to get into them she just opens up her closet and could have a basket full of dollies? And for clean up all she'd have to do is just throw them back in the basket and her favorites can go back in the doll crib.
Just an idea. My boys have super hero action figures - we have a shelf devoted to the taller ones and a whole toy box full of figures.

hmmm...that might work. she's always wanting to make beds for the dollies (so then we have blankets and dolls strewn all over the floor), so I think my brain was thinking along those lines. I'm just trying to get her room more organized!

We had a life size cradle... made of wood (grandpa made it for us) But when we weren't using it for REAL babies.. It is full of little dollies... FULL.... LOL! And it looks cute, the cradle is gorgeous, so it doesn't look out of place, and the dolls are off the floor.. Win win... Do you have a cradle or a bassinet left over from the baby that you can throw all the dolls in? Maggie could probably reach them in something like that.

wow, that's a lot of dolls. hmm, I'm no help. Lily's dolls are scattered all over and she is still in the single digits of dolls.
the cradle idea sounds cute. have you discussed it with Maggie? maybe she has some ideas.

That is SO cute, Yvette!!! Sinead, I bet you could build something like that, on your own...you guys could use sturdy cardboard, reinforced, paint it and decorate...all that jazz...

Oh, Maggie has ideas, all right! lol She wants them all to have a bed and wants baby beds scattered around the room. Dude, there is only so much space in her room! lol I'll have to think about the cradle thing, though. I had a bassinet for Maggie when we were in Raleigh, but I gave that away before we moved. We borrowed one from my mom when Katie was little. i bet I could find one at a flea market or yard sale, though...hmmm...that's good idea.
Thanks so much, chickies! I'll have to keep these thoughts rolling around in my head!

My DD is like that with her gorillas. So, we bought her a hammock for them.
