As posted in Sinead's thread...

Literally right after I posted that I had boy pics I heard Sophia cry, she was downstairs, i was upstairs awaiting the arrival of the little boy I babysit, he started school today, and the bus was dropping him off. She comes upstairs, so of course I am not worried, she is not overly upset at all, she tells me she bumped her head, I rub it, kiss it, and don't notice anything, I am so observant :shrug:Then I notice her hair is wet, well of course I ask, Sophia why is your hair wet..........Then I see its not wet it's bloody:fool:.....She had a half inch gash on her head, apparently she hit the corner of my desk (she and big brother were playing around down here).

So I get her cleaned up, and it seems ok, I keep an eye on it for awhile, the little boy shows up I babysit, and all seems ok. But it keeps breaking open and bleeding some more, so I decide to go ahead and take her to the ER.... Well that place is beyond packed!!! OMGOSH! This place is rarely this busy during the middle of the day, I was in shock. We waited forever just to be triaged. Well while waiting I hook said boy's feeding tube up, and he is sitting in the stroller happy and content no problem, he is such a good boy. Well his feeding finishes and he starts to have one of his coughing spells nothing unusual for him... till he throws up all over me in the middle of the waiting room, he has never done this before, so of course I am wondering what the heck is happening! Well being that I am in the middle of a hospital I am having a heck of a time getting a signal on my phone to get a hold of his mom, and all the nurses are freaking out thinking he needs to be seen to! I am as calm as I can be thinking that it is most likely cause by the increase in his feedings (which it ended up being)... Oh what fun.... Good news is, after that we got pushed right through LOL.... Seriously after that I was out of there within like 30 mins :)

They did nothing for Sophia, and she cannot brush, or wash her head for 3 days (I told the doc he was nuts!!) but oh well. I think they probably would have been more apt to put something on it, had it been on the front of the head, or had they not been so busy, I dunno... I will definitely keep an eye on it the next couple days. She does seem to be ok, maybe a bit of a headache is all.

After that it was just busy, Zach was late for football practice, naps for the kids, pick Zach up, Drop little boy off with his mom, Dinner, etc etc....

I cannot wait for DH to get home on Friday!!! I miss him so much right now LOL.

oh Deena!! I'm so sorry for your little one! I sure hope she heals up well & quickly! Gosh, are you super-mom or what? I'd be beside myself with a day like that, let alone having my DH out of town. Big hugs, girl, and here's hoping for a better day for you tomorrow!!

My gosh - that sounds like an interesting day! If it's not one thing it's 50, right? Especially when the hubby is gone.

Hope baby girl's head heals up quickly.

Well Sophia is doing much better this morning, Today was the first day of school and aside from the unexpected... Tristan being required to have to stay the full 2 hours this year OOOPS Guess I missed that memo (in past years they just dropped supplies off and left) It is fairly uneventful. Although His new teacher had not been briefed on his "condition" (Spina Bifida and needing diapers etc etc!! UGH! thank goodness it was only a 2 hour day)... Teacher has now been briefed by me! And note will be sent tomorrow to have everything in writing :) So the rest of the year should go much better!!
