just wanted to pop in say we had some big storms on Thursday and we've been w/o power since Thursday, boo hoo. No estimated time for restoration. wahhh.

Oh yuck...hope it's back on for you soon! We were without power for nearly 7 days when Katrina came through and it was awful so I know how you feel...we'd go to wal-mart just to have some air conditioning for a little while lol! Is it terribly hot there?...that was the worst part for us...August in MS with no power=no fun at all lol!

OMGosh you poor woman.... Yes it was me... It happened twice last year!! I sure hope you get your power back soon, if you were closer I'd let you borrow our generator, funny we have not needed it since we bought it :P ((((HUGS))))

yay, your positive thoughts have worked! our power came back at 3am-ish.

It actually wasn't too bad. The weather was pretty mild, thank goodness. I have to say, the kids coped fantastically, never complained. I never realized what a little optimist Henry is. We didn't sustain any damage, except for having to throw out a bunch of food (didn't I already go through this). That didn't bother me too much (aside from the expense/waste of it), since I am happy to have any reason to avoid cooking :jumping0047:.

Funny thing is we just borrowed a generator from an electrician friend on Sunday. DH said something about running the fridge; I said I would rather not. I would rather do laundry. Well guess what, the generator was not enough for a washer. So I plugged in the computers instead. And of course, Comcast is down. Kind of frustrating to have a computer and no internet. I tried to scrap but my mojo is gone. Must have been an electrical problem b/c when power was restored, so was our broadband.

Henry will be thrilled when he wakes up. He is worried about his Webkinz.

My sister is visiting (came in Sat) so I'll still probably be a bit scarce for a few more days.

I'm glad it's back!! It sucks to be without power.
We were without last October too, no generator, so we stayed with family. It's so tough. And even with the lovely plus of not having to cook, it's really not fun having to go buy all new food for the fridge. Glad you're back though!
