I forgot to mention that I was out of town last weekend doing a mountain hike in Colorado with my sister. Anyone miss me? LOL! Anyhoo, I put a bunch of photos up at Flickr if you want to sample my adventure :) If you want to read the descriptions you can't do the the slideshow. wow, great pics, Val! Looks beautiful out there! And, wow, you really did hike. Building your own fires and everything. Was it an overnight hike?

Yeah, she said I look 'cute again', like the 'old Val', lol!

Yup, we did the whole hike, brought all of our camping gear with us. Spent 2 nights :) And Kelly is right, it was TOTALLY peaceful. Just what I needed.

These pics are awesome Val. Way to conquer that mountain girl.

My hubby and I hiked once from Palm Springs to Hemet (cali girls will know where I am talking about) and it took us two days (we went over the top of the mountain) while I hated him for it for a couple days afterwards, I look back on it now and I feel so great for accomplishing it. I bet you must be filled with pride!

OMG, when we looked back at the distance we covered I was dumbstruck. I would've NEVER believed I could do it. Must be a common feeling, lol! I'm looking at more local hikes now, I imagine the upper peninsula has some gorgeous trails.
