I have (visible) braces again...

I got braces back in May, but they were the "wire behind the teeth" variety, so no one noticed. :)

This morning, they took off the wire (it wasn't working as well as he had hoped, so I get a retainer on Thursday), made an impression of the bottom teeth, and put brackets on the top front six teeth.

Ouch. I'm not as sore as I know I'll be tomorrow, but the pressure is starting to mount.

And yes, I got a pretty band color - light pink! :) My next appointment is Nov 19 for tightening, so I guess I'll see what color I'm in the mood for then....

Oh I remember having braces! Fun times :) I had the traditional metal kind twice and the invisible plastic retainer kind once, yeah i have stubborn teeth LOL! And 2 of my teeth have moved again but at this point I've given up on ever having perfectly straight teeth!

oh I so remember the tightening. I swear there was one woman who took great pleasure in tightening braces really tight, my teeth are hurting just thinking of it.

it would be fun to have pink bands. they didn't have that kind of cool stuff when I had braces.

Wow!! I was never lucky enough to get braces, and I do have a few teeth that could really use them! Actually, both of my older kiddos supposedly need them, but mainly for crowding/overbites. I've noticed that as my daughter has gotten older, her crowding is evening out on it's own though...yay!! :)

WOOT on the pink bands!! Groovy baybee...purple is awfully perdy too...heehee ;)
