Not that I ask one every day, of course :rolleye0012:
I was cooking last night, thinking about all the spices I have in my kitchen. I have tons I use occasionally, but only a couple standards.
So....
What spice(s) do you always use? What spice(s) do you avoid?
I LOVE garlic, so garlic powder is my most frequently-used spice.
I avoid pepper. I love recipes that say "pepper, to taste" because I don't want to taste it so I put in as much as it needed to not taste it (i.e. none)

We use a lot of garlic salt, fresh garlic and Italian seasoning. Hubby loves red pepper flakes for his pasta and on occasion other things.

I always use Soul Seasoning and of course salt and pepper. I also use onion powder a lot as well as garlic.
Of course for baking, I use cinnamon.
I try and avoid cayenne. I only use it when I make chili.

Garlic goes in everything I make... :) DH is the same way LOL
Curry is something I avoid at all cost, but that is because I recently found out I am allergic to it :P

Haha I do the exact same thing Charlene! I never put pepper in anything! And its not a seasoning, but I don't like onions so I also omit those from a lot of recipes too
I like putting Lowry's Season Salt on all kinds of things (french fries, hot dogs, hamburgers etc) and I also use garlic salt and Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb seasoning a lot.

I don't think this counts as a spice but the seasoning I use most I think is the Tastefully Simple Seasoned Salt (seasoning salt?).

Ha, you should see my spice drawer, girls - it is bursting! I love spices and I tend to use fresh greens, like continental parsley, basil, rosmary, thyme, oregano and garlic (and onion) Also in frequently use: course (sp?) salt and freshly grinded black pepper. Hmmm, what else, oh yes, paprika, cumin, nutmeg and some of the spice mixes. See, I could go on and on *lol*

Oh, I forgot one of my faves! Montreal Steak Spice - it's a mixture of peppers and garlic and all kinds of yummy stuff - love it on any kind of red meat!
