Man, why didn't you post this earlier this afternoon. I was making a QP for one of "my" designers. Was almost done and the power flips off -- of course I hadn't saved a thing. The only good thing about it is that the next time it goes much faster 'cause you're not having to figure things out and all.

okay....um, what happens when you go to save and photoshop can't save your file cause you've run out of space on you 160GB hard drive?

i've gotta move some crap to my external and get rid of some stuff.

do you gals keep your layered psd files for old LOs?

I keep my .psd's, but I don't think I've ever gone back to change even one, so I shouldn't keep that space used up with them.

I keep all my photos and current scrap stuff on my external (then burn kits and stuff to CD once I'm not really using them much anymore) and I just filled it up as well. I think it was only 150 gb, but now I'm having to save onto my regular hard drive. I would take some stuff off my external and burn it to CD, but my CD writer is all screwed up. I think I'll be getting a new computer sometime in the near future, but probably not soon enough!

I save layered PSDs. Right now I can't bear the thought of deleting. But at the same time, don't really want to ever open them up again.

hmm, well maybe I could go back and fix drop shadows . . .

I do not keep layered PSD's unless I am unsure about the layout, then I do.

I say after you print especially its time to get rid of them.

okay, i'm back up to 30 GB of free disc space!! woo hoo!! i deleted a bunch o' junk I didn't need and I had a couple of movies on my hard drive that I had forgotten about. deleting those freed up a TON of space. yay!
