When was the last time you backed up your blog?

I justed backed up my database and now I am backing up files.

I'm just doing this b/c I am going to changer servers.

How often, if ever, do you back up your blog?

I've never done it, but then mine is hosted on Wordpress so I have no idea if I even can back it up??

Charlenge, get on that ASAP. I would be sooooo sad if I lost my blog and all it's posts.

I am so nervous about changing webhosts. That's probably b/c I don't really know what I'm doing.

Mine is hosted on wordpress.com so I don't think I need to worry about it.... But for those who have them on independent servers... yea a good idea to back it up.

I think (?) blogger backs them up. I'm looking into that now, though.
We have a backup system on this computer so we wouldn't lose our website if anything happened, which is a wonderful thing :)

I should back mine up - I need to install the WP update. But there hasn't been the wanting to do that. Mimi, changing servers should be fairly easy. I've done it twice before. A bit of advice, although I would think most will do this anyway, to save some hassle keep your database name & password the same ;) lol I had to change mine one time because my new webhost created my username for me, man that was a pain. lol Eventually everything worked out.

thanks for the tips, Kelly. i don't know if I'll have the choice of making my own DB name. With my current (soon to be former) webhost, they created the db names. I need to do a WP upgrade too. Think I will do that after I restore my blog onto the server.

this is giving me a headache b/c I have so many things to back up and move.

my homeschool group site.

and it is near impossible to do with 2 kids going bonkers and driving me bonkers. You know you type in one wrong thing and nothing works. I want to take the kids out but Lily is refusing to go potty and I know she has to. But I don't want to go out and then have her tell me she has to go. And she absolutely refuses to go to use a public restroom. She is a real PITA over this potty training.

Obviously I am not picking the best time to do this all. But it's in my head to do it now. :rolleye0012:
