I baked!!!

OK now I know that is not a life shattering thing to declare but......I am not the best of cooks or maybe it is just I am always on the run so rarely do much cooking. But after meeting Paula Deen a couple weekends ago and picking up her Christmas cookbook, we decided to bake some Christmas cookies and chocolate bars! I really think I forgot how fun it was to just bake all kinds of different things and am glad I gave myself "permission" to just play around with my girls! hehehe......

And I totally know what you mean. I bake on and off throughout the year, but don't for Christmas because my mom and MIL go nuts making things, but this year (actually, yesterday and today) decided to make cookies! Jasmine had so much fun helping me make the gingerbread men; it's definitely going to have to be a normal part of our Christmases now!

Oh man I didn't take one single one......dang! LOL I need proof that I can cook and there is not one single shot of it! We have more to do tomorrow so I will snag some there....LOL and yeah we have eaten quite a bit and I am thinking we may not have enough for the Christmas gifts we were supposed to be making!
