So, how did you ring in the New Year? Tell us about it!!
We went to our next door neighbors house for a party. Low key, good food, fun games & lots of fun. Here's the bummer though - - right at about 11:58, our almost 4 year old daughter was bitten by the neighbors' 80lb. Old English Sheepdog. Totally an accident and a first-time ever thing for the dog, but SO SCARY for us. As everyone started counting down for the New Year, I was holding sweet Camille in my arms and checking out the bite marks. It was a very strange start to the New Year for sure!!
She's fine, and it didn't even break the skin, but we were all a little freaked out.
How was your New Year's?

I sat on my big bootie, eating goodies, watching TV and scrapping! LOL
I was at the computer for most of the night... drinking beer and chatting. I hosted a chat over at DST which was a lot of fun. I did take a break early in the evening to beat hubby at a game of Scrabble. :)
At midnight we toasted here in the Kipler household with champagne for hubby and me (sparkling cider for my 3 kids) and watched the ball drop on cable TV.

I was giving some love in the gallery! lol We had the TV on to watch the ball drop, though. MAN, did you see **** Clark? He doesn't look bad, but his voice sounds really old...his face and his voice just didn't match. Whoever has done the last 2 or 3 facelifts for him has really done a disservice to him. :( Poor ****.

We went over to my SIL house and played games, chatted and ate. We almost missed ringing in the New Year because we were so busy playing games. The kids had a blast playing with their cousin.

I hung out here with Darla, Sinead, Paula and the rest of the gang. Scrapping, eating, and watching the festivities on TV. It was the first time in quite a few years that I stayed awake until midnight :giggle: Oh yeah, my DH was around here somewhere too - lol!

My DH, our houseguest, and I went to a friend's house to ring in the new year.
We had a lovely dinner, good wine/drinks (well, i had non-alcoholic as the designated driver), and good company.
We stayed until 1 a.m., and I finally got to bed around 2 a.m.....

We watched a movie, the girls fell asleep at around 9:30 or so, and Josh and I stayed up all the way to 10:30 :giggle: We're such partiers  Oh, and had a bottle of sparkling grape juice.
Wanna know how pathetic that really is? My almost 81-year old grandmother was at her friend's house, and got home at close to 1 a.m. So she partied (non-alcoholic) and we didn't!! :giggle:

I was wondering how late Charlene was going to stay up! You can always cheat and watch a new year's eve show from a different time zone. That was our original plan for going out to a friends place, but our house is sick - so we just stayed home.

DH and I both fell asleep watching TV - I think we're getting old LOL!

Ann, that might have worked if we'd thought about it, but there's only one time zone before us unless we wanted to see it in mid-afternoon from England .
We did that when I was in Istanbul, though...it was so much fun to watch the ball drop from NYC when the sun was rising for us! (7 hours ahead there)

Awww, poor Camille! ;)
I hope she isn't afraid of dogs now... never mind, I know Camille and she will probably think that the poor dog was having a bad day & didn't mean to bite her! She's so sweet :)
