We have a guest room! :)

For the last year, our guest room has been more of a storage room.

Well, my mom is "handing down" a queen sized bed and matching dresser, and we HAVE to pick it up next weekend, so we've been pushing to get everything done.

This is what we've done for the last three weekends:

- unpack EVERY box, sort out the contents into "donate" "trash" and "keep"
- Make (2) trips to Goodwill with a full Durango load
- Put up stuff that needs to go in the garage

Before next Saturday, we also need to address a settling crack in that room (spackle and paint).

Boy does it feel good to get rid of all that stuff and have it all sorted. Phew!

Let's just say, we had the contents of a 10x20 storage room in that bedroom (and our bedroom isn't 10x20 either).....

Great work!! This is sooo me right now! We are moving in July and as I do the big "muck out", our guest room has turned into a storage closet. Hearing your story might give me that final push I need to get more aggressive with throwing out and donating stuff!

Great job! I have a load of stuff sitting in our garage that still needs to be taken to be donated. We still have more to do, but at least having that stuff sorted out for certain does feel good.

I bet it feels great. I have a few boxes that I need to go through. They were in our storage until we moved to Utah in Aug of 2006. We have been in this house for almost a year and still haven't gone through them.
