Maybe if they were around more then Ruby would not have to look after her mischievous little brother. And then maybe he would have some discipline in his life and not get into so much trouble.

Hey, if you think Max is bad you should meet my kids :giggle:

But seriously, that was me trying to take care of my little brothers when we were young!

You know I have always wondered the same exact thing!! Where are those parents?? You see the grandma every once in awhile, but never the parents! I can't watch that show for very long anyway - Max annoys me to no end and Ruby is a bossy little thing lol!!

DUDE! I've always wondered exactly the same thing!! At least on Charlie and Lola they're referring to Mum and Dad from time to time. Max and Ruby don't ever seem to refer to their parents--just to Grandma (who cracks me up, by the way--did you see the one when they were shopping for Christmas gifts and Grandma was showing her cowgirl roping skills off to Max? Too funny!).

ds loves Max & Ruby! I've often wondered about the parents as well, on the other hand I think Max's character was based on DS!

Now I know how fast bunny rabbits can bred but you would at least think they would stick around for a little bit.

I can handle the other cartoons because you at least get the feeling the parents care.

The Backyardagins have a great back yard and go home every episode.

The Wonderpets are at day care so they are taken care of there.

Someone had to build the Little Einstein treehouse.

I just don't get Max and Ruby. I would so be calling CPS if they were real.

I am right there with you girls! Seems like that Bunny Scout leader ought to get off of her patch-craze and call Bunny Protective Services!!

Ruby, bless her...she cooks for Max and tries to keep him out of trouble, while still trying to maintain some of her precious youth by playing with her dolls. It's an unjust world for that sweet little bunny!

Rachel, yep...Max & Ruby...two little bunnies who get in to all sorts of trouble. :) With no parents around, obviously. ;)

This is a big topic for discussion amongst my 'mom' friends. Why is Ruby so bossy? Probably because she is stressed at being thrown into the position of mothering Max - that naughty little bunny - lol!

I laughed outloud when I saw this thread! My dh was just asking that question the other day. He seemed very irritated about their lack of adult supervision. He actually went off on a rant about it. lol

I always wondered that when the Peanuts were on. The only semblance of an adult was the teacher who was always heard but never seen. Now that I teach...I truly do feel that half the time I do speak Peanut teacher language...blah, blabla blah blah

Maybe Max and Ruby's parents are hanging out with Lucy and Linus, and Sally and Charlie Brown's parents
