Hi ladies!! The family & I are back from our long weekend to the Texas coast! We had so much fun and I thought I'd share a few highlights from the trip with you!!
1) Camille was a little freaked out by the crabs on the beach...most of all by the "crab holes" that were here and there in the sand where the little guys had dug themselves in/out. She quickly thought they were great once she realized that she could stomp on the holes and fill them in. She's been coming up with the most um, imaginative names for our new baby, and the latest is now...."Crab Hole." Couldn't you just see that on a birth certificate!!
2) When we got to our condo on Friday night, it was FILTHY!! The cleaning crew had skipped it, evidently. It was pretty late, so another crew couldn't be sent out until the morning. So, imagine if you will a big ol' preggo lady scrubbing the condo and getting it clean so we could relax! after the 4 hour drive! The owner was fantastic, however, and apologized to no end. We ended up getting a really nice refund which funded all of our dinners out & activities for the weekend.....score!!
3) And, lastly.....I want to share this so hopefully no one else makes the same mistake: On our first day out in the sun, I lathered Camille up with sunscreen, but evidently missed two very important areas - - the little circles beneath her eyes. She looks like a bright red raccoon, and I feel horrible!! It's not that bad, but every time I look at her sweet little face with those red patches I feel so guilty. So, be a better mom than me this summer & cover your babies with SPF!!
