Oy. When does the insanity ever end????? :(
Sooooo... we go camping over the weekend. (We left on Friday the 28th and came home on Monday the 30th.) It was a great trip - we all had fun - until Sunday night. EJ woke us up vomiting. I mean VOMITING. It was sooooo bad! And I was already EXHAUSTED from not enough sleep. So we dealt with it the best we could. In the morning, we packed up and headed home. Thank God he slept the whole way (2 hr drive) and kept it all in while in the car. Once home, he cried and slept... on ME. He would NOT let me put him down. Fine. No biggie. (I still have not unpacked or done laundry...) I figured it was just the stomach flu and didn't call in b/c I thought it would be done within 24-48 hours. NOPE. On Tuesday I took him in to the Urgent Care with a fever of 103.5 where he ended up getting 2 bags of IV fluid. They wanted to test him for ghiardia (sp?) and such. He was SEVERELY dehydrated. Went home and monitored. Poor baby. He was gushing at BOTH ends! Seriously, none of my other kids have been that sick. His poop was coming out as LIQUID. It wouldn't even stay in his diaper. :( On Wed morning, I took him in for followup where he got 1 more bag of fluid. Wed night, he got WORSE. He was projectile vomiting out of his mouth, nose and bottom. :( SCARY. He became super disoriented, writhing and screaming in pain. We went to the ER about 11 pm and was there until 415 am. He got another bag of fluid and a wonderful anti-nausea pill. He is super clingy and fussy but at least he's not vomiting anymore. And since he's been nibbling, his poop is not pure liquid. yay!
So that's where i've been. :( Hope you all have had a better week then mine... I'll be back in a bit with more... he's awake and fussy..... *sigh*
