I'm finally back online after being without a computer for over 2 weeks! My shiny, fast new Dell came last night! Yay!

So - I pull the cover off to install my old secondary hard drive that I pulled from my old machine and of course, the connectors are not the same! :) So - I'll have to go get a case and make it an external, I guess! I also had a newer DVD/CD burner I was going to put in it - but it looks like it's going to be that same problem there too - different connectors. Big bummer...

I still have to load up PS and some things, then figure out the HD issue and I should be good to go again! :)

It's amazing how many little things I use the internet for! Checking e-mails and boards, sure, but for checking on the library books, checking our bank account, paying things - and reasearching things!!!!

EEEK welcome back to cyber-land! Ya, I go crazy without the internet. When it was down a couple months ago from the storm I was like...HOW DO I CHECK MY BALANCE???? My DH (being the non-computer guy that he is) was like...uh, you could go to the bank? Or call the 800 number?

Ooooo...fun! My laptop is only 1.5 years old and I'm wanting a new one already lol. I have a Dell as well. It's still going great, but this laptop only has 60GB. A digi-scrapper needs more than that...though I haven't been scrappin' much lol. I'm thinking about getting a laptop maybe in a year or so. So that I can get more memory for less money.

haha...you mean you don't balance your checkbook lol. I used to be a month behind on reconciling, but since the end of last year I'm actually ahead. That is...thinking about the big checks (or electronic payments) I need to write for the upcoming month...when I need to write them....when and how much DH gets paid and if we need to transfer money in or out of our checking.

Yeah - I got a 500 Gb harddrive and 4Gb's of RAM (memory was at their lowest) with a 2.4 processor and it was all on sale at $310 off with free shipping! Woot, woot and a big ole' tripe woot!!!! It's smokin' fast!

And I know what you mean on the checkbook too! LOL! We do that also with taking out big bills a month ahead...

Holy cow! What a great deal! We just dumped our old desktop - one that probably only had 2 or 3 MBs of memory lol. There was an electronic recycling thingy...you had to present ID (like driver's license) to drop stuff off. We also got rid of my 1st laptop...the one I bought used for $200 or $250...and it only had 16MBs of memory. I bought that from my brother when I first started digi-scrapping.

I can't wait to get a new computer in a year or so!

I have 2 broken computers sitting here and one that's my dad's. I think we're going to donate them to the high school here. The boy next door is taking a class and they take them, fix them, clean them off and then donate them somewhere that needs them...
I think we're going to let him try on our old computer at home 1st and see if he can revive it, then we could use it for the boys computer with their games...

I don't know what I would do without the internet for checking our bank account and paying bills either! lol I have an email reminder for most and pay most through our bank accounts web bill pay service.
