Heart is broken...can't even walk into my LRoom

Last night, my DS dumped fish food in the tank and it was quite a bit. I have a 75 gallon salt water tank and a big pump, I figured they would be okay til morning. I was so sore, still am. from putting in my flower garden yesterday. Anyway--I woke up this a.m. and all of my fish are dead. :cry: I am so heartbroken -- I have had them for more than a year. We had Nemo, Marlin, Dory, Blue, Race Car, Convict, and Lawn Mower. Even the snails that keep the live rock clean are dead. Ian is 4 years old and I left the fish food on top of the lights... I am so mad at myself. I feel silly -- but I loved my fish. I can't even walk through the living room right now, I just feel so darn bad.

AWww sweetie. I am soooo very sorry. We lost a whole tank of fish too once when my SIL put hot water in there instead of cold when she cleaned the tank. I am so sorry and I will I could give you a hug.

Today was the day that we had to tear the entire tank down. I have been in tears, I feel silly writing this, but we had to completely drain the tank, remove the sand, the live rock (dead now too) and everything. I feel so bad and my DS keeps asking for the fish... :cry:

So we will restart the tank in a few weeks.... sigh... Thanks for the hugs my friends... I feel so silly for feeling so bad.
