Ok, I am coming up on the big 3-0 next month, and I think it would be fun to see what we all can remember from the last 3 decades.

So I will post some questions and then answer them, then each of you can answer them as they apply to you.

In the 1970's: I was born and spent the next couple months floating in our backyard pool with my mom as she tanned and rocked out to "If I can't have you, and Boogie Oogie Oogie"

In the 1980's: I was avoiding the noid (the dominoes noid that is), gleaming the cube with christian slater and rockin' the hypercolor t-shirt and z-cavaricci's to the sounds of super hotty Morrissey and The Smiths.

In the 1990's: I was trading in my Nintendo for a Sega Genesis, wishing for a Ford Taurus wagon as my first car (got a tempo instead), drinking Snapples and ditching school to play sand volleyball with boys that looked like Karch Kiraly.

SO it's your turn.

In the 1970's:

In the 1980's:

In the 1960s: I was born. Just barely before the moon landing and Woodstock.

In the 1970's: I was a child and lived in Virginia.

In the 1980's: I moved to Oregon in 1980 (never left), went to junior high and high school, and started attending college.

In the 1990's: Turned 21 in 1990, got married in 1999 (one month before *I* turned 30). Started my career as a technical writer in 1996 (and just about to reach my 12 years in my career this year).

lol ok I likey this one.....

In the 1960's:
I was born and walked around town in matching clothes with my mom who sewed all of our outfits - and they were actually cute ones! Oh and she made sure I always had matching shoes with our cute outfits!

In the 1970's:
I was a kid who loved to wear garanimals and striped shirts like the brady girls wore and loved watching the Mickey Mouse Club on my little bw tv I got to watch when I was sick! OH yeah and I loved watching the Bugaloos and went to the Montclair Plaza to get a record signed by them - which I still have to this day!

In the 1980's:
I was a valley girl who dressed up like Madonna but was in love (still am) with Bono and that new cool group - U2 who I have seen in concert a gizillion times!

In the 1990's:
I got a job working at Apple Computer and drove around town in a yellow miata and blew all my money on cassettes of my favorite artists and lol occasionally still have that valley girl talk in my conversations. For sure!

In the 1970s: I was born, got a baby brother who was the bane of my existence until he became one of my best friends (which didn't happen 'til the 90s:giggle:)

In the 1980s: I got three more brothers and two sisters. We moved to Connecticut and back to New York state. I cut my nose (almost off...long story) and broke my ankle.

In the 1990s: I graduated from high school and college and moved to Turkey for the start of a 2-year teaching gig. Oh, and I got another sister and three more brothers

In the 1970's I was born.. I don't really remember much about those 5 years.. bwahahhaa.. except cutting my hair and walking to my grandmas when I was a little over 2 (she lived 2 miles away...teeheehee) And I remember watching Star Wars in the theatre.. (I think)

In the 1980's I wanted to be JUST like my big sister but found out we were oh so very different. I had a life size poster of Bon Jovi behind my door and a GIANT poster of Robert Smith (from the cure above my bed). The first was my older sisters, The Cure one was mine.. teeheehee.. It would always scare my grandma to death when she'd come and visit.. I shaved the bottom half of my head, hung around with the skaters and wore black 98% of the time.. The other 2% of time I wore this white skirt and tank top, with black boots.. pulled the upper half of my hair in a pony tail and loved it when people compared me to Sinead O'Connor... ROFL! HAAAA (are you skerred yet?!)

In the 1990's reality hit me, I graduated from Highschool, straightened my act (although I was only really a wanabe bad girl). Went to college in Southern Utah, met my husband my second year of school, had my first 2 kids and viola... That's my first 30 years in a nutshell... TEEEHEEE Life just keeps getting better and better... LOL!

1970s = was born, got a baby sister and a baby brother, and mostly what I remember was being a very, very, very, very shy girl. That an being alone - like watching tv early, early in the morning (in the dark) at my grandma's house. The tv was on very low, my uncles (my mom's the oldest of 9) were teens and still sleeping. Getting toast w/margarine (we only use butter at home) w/sugar sprinkled on top.

1980s = haha...I dressed up as 'madonna' one halloween. graduated middle school. Became a Christian :)

1990s = graduated HS, graduated college, got into the working world, got together w/my future husband.

1970's - I was born (Kim, we're almost the same age, I turn 30 in August) and I really don't remember anything else. I guess I did what toddlers do, just went about creating trouble.

1980's - My brother was born, I went to school, had a funny, kinda isolated childhood, then in 1988 we moved to a new place and we could have lots of friends, play outside, things normal kids do.

1990's - My favorite!!! Life really started here. I started high school, became a teenager, met the man who would become my husband (many, many years later). Then went to college, started to work, partied a lot (and I do mean a lot), dated a lot, made quite a good living, all at the same time. Fun years. Then I graduated in 1999 and settled down with the gentleman I mentioned above. Life has been quiet since, but I sure miss the 90's... (I'm a sucker for that kind of I Love the 90's - Best Videos of the 90's show, even though I grew up in Brazil, the songs were the same...)

Oh, how fun :happy0159:

In the 70s: I was born in 1978 and can`t remember that much *heehee*

In the 80s: I got a little sister in 1981 and I remember a very peaceful and joyful childhood. I loved beeing in Kindergarten and later in school.

In the 90s: I made my parents crazy... I think I was a terrible teenager and after beeing a HUGE New Kids on the Block-Fan I was into so many boygroups and hang out with some crazy girls always on the hunt for autographs. It was a fun time and I don`t wanna miss it... but looking back at this time I just have to blush and hope that my little boy will be much easier to handle ;)

NOW: I`m a mother and really love this...

1970's - I was born in 74 and got a little sister in 76. We spent our days watching Sesame Street and The Electric Company and playing with our Little People

1980's - We got another sister and brother, our first microwave, an atari so we could play pac-man all day, got up early on saturday mornings so we wouldn't miss cartoons and played with our Barbie dreamhouse everyday. In the late 80's I hit jr. high and out grew all of that, listened to Bon Jovi and Poison, tight rolled my jeans which were stonewashed (with a matching jacket), teased my hair and depleted the ozone with all the hair spray I used. :)

1990's - Graduated from high school and college, grew up A LOT, taught school a few years and then met my future hubby :)

1970s: Just a young one. I can remember playing in the backyard with my little brother.

1980s: Got 2 more brothers in 14 months. 8 tracks in the early 80's. I can remember driving with my dad listening to Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton singing "Islands in the Stream." Elementary school- especially my geography teacher. She was a mean one. And then Jr. High and all my boyfriends. And rolling my pant legs up super tight so you could see the matching color socks- usually 3 per leg. Oh- and do you remember Units clothes. Oh man I loved those!

1990s- High school football games. Summer camp. Going to college and having way to much fun. Meeting my husband and marrying him. Partying like it was 1999.

In the 1980's: I lived the first half in Peru, in cloth diapers and barefeet, b/c us girls wanted to be like the Indian kids we played with. The 2nd half was spent trying to be cool in elementary school and LOVING the New Kids on the Block.

In the 1990's: Loving Green Day and Clueless and My So Called Life.... being the only Christian girl among my druggie/ hippy friends till I went to college. marching in the Band and dancing at a few Raves....

70s - I was born half way though '75, two days later and it would have been '76. I spent my early years wearing mini-mommy clothes - she used to make me dresses from the same fabric that she was using to make her clothes - and carrying my bear with me wherever I went.
80s - I went through school working hard and loving to make things, luckily my Mam had stopped making me matching clothes to her and I was the only girl in my street so I played cops and robbers, climbed trees and pretended to be the guys from 'Chips' on our BMX bikes :)
90s - Moved on to A Levels and then my teaching degree - art and design wouldn't you know. Fell in and out of love, cried over boys, discovered alchohol which ultimatley led to more crying over boys. Finished up at University and started teaching and pretended to be grown up between the hours of 8 and 4

1970's : I was also born at the beginning of 78, so I remember very little. I do remember getting a bear for my birthday, I still have the bear... No idea why it means so much to me, or why I can remember my first birthday though LOL.

1980's: UMMM elementary school, and dressing up like Madonna ALOT for Halloween, oh and this when when my obsession with NKOTB began! LOL

1990's: Well that was quite the interesting decade for me, i became a teenager, got preggo, and married, then preggo again! YIKES!

2000's: so far have been much better for me, I got divorced, became a Christian, met and married my now wonderful hubby :)

1990s: moved back to Cali in 92 and HATED it. It was NOTHING like I remembered it and nothing like I imagined it. I'm still wondering if I like Cali life, lol! ;) I would LOVE to move to Colorado. (I think???) lol! Graduated HS in 96, med assist. school in 99, tried Beauty College first in 97-98 and quit. 1970s: my brother was born and later my little sister! We live in Stuttgart (south Germany) and never moved from there until the late 90s ;.)

1980s: I was a teen and loved to go out in the disco! I'm the typical 80s girl when it comes to music! This was such a fun time! Made my Abitur (secondary school certificate) and started learning computer programming in my job!

1990s: met my hubby and married him in 1997 and we had our first boy in 1997. I move from stuttgart to my hubby. We started being self-employed as Webdesigner

Okay well I'm with Kim on this one - I'm gonna be 30 in the fall!

This is great....

In the 1970's: I made my grande entrance into this world - first born! :)

In the 1980's: I got 2 sisters a couple of years apart, I hoped and prayed for my parents to get a yellow convertible (we got a ginormous station wagon instead), we went to Yellowstone National Park for a family holiday, melted a whole box of crayons on the back seat of that station wagon...

In the 1990's: I loved the '90's! MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Poison, Nelson brothers...
I fell in love for the first time (jerk), we holiday'd in BC and western US for a month in the summer time (I was soooo miserable!) I graduated from high school, worked at Micky D's and met my DH. We moved to Kananaskis, AB and worked there for a few months, until I had to come home because I was too homesick! We got married in 2000.

Gosh you know, some of that seems like FOREVER ago and some of it feels like just last week!!

I don't care what anyone says, I'm going to be 29 always!! :D

1970's - I really don't remember much but I do have a very vague memory of meeting my grandparents who had come out from England to Australia for a visit.

1980's - Have great memories of playing with my siblings out in the backyard, swimming in the pool, playing cricket etc..... I also had my first trip to England when I was 6. Being the youngest Mum wouldn't leave me behind so I got to go. My brother who was 11 at the time was so upset and to this day he's still brings it up (it's become a family joke).

1990's - this time was spent listening to endless hours of NKOTB and Take That. I finished highschool and went to live in England for 6 months (my love for Take That was at it's peak but as far as Mum and Dad were concerned I went there for some life experience...lol). Came back meet my hubby and got married.

2000's - lost my mum, had a baby, became a designer at TDC.

In the 1980's: I got 4 siblings this decade and I loved all but one of them:) She was born 3 days before my 4th birthday and I was super displaced! I freaked out when I had to take the bus to a 6th grade center . . . I spent my summers playing in the backyard

In the 1990's: I almost died when my dad moved us from Las Vegas to Iowa . . . I worked at a day care center . . . I graduated and went out to Utah for college while the rest of my family moved to Kentucky . . . I met my DH!
