Ok so today me and Sophia went on a walk, it was GORGEOUS out! We picked "flowers" in the yard, aka dandelion's and a flower off the neighbor's tree LOL (don't worry the neighbor would totally be ok with it).... She was carrying them around, and kept giving them to me, and taking them back LOL. Well they were just sitting on the couch when she took her nap, and i decided to just pitch them.....

Fast forward to me making dinner, Sophia comes in and asks where her pink and yellow flowers are.... UH OH I am thinking, as i say I dunno... I figured it was best to play dumb, than be honest with my 3yr old... Then she goes out of no where "You threw them away!" Walks over to the trash can and looks, at first did not see them, and looks again, and goes, You did! MOOOOOM! LOL...... I about died... I did play nice and let her go out in the fenced backyard while i was cooking dinner, to pick some more. So I was running in and out with her picking "flowers" and cooking dinner :) Now the flowers are sitting on the counter all wilted and brown looking, and i want to throw them out, but i know I'll get busted again . I think she is a little too smart for me!

lol Deena!

When Maggie hands me flowers (or most likely, weeds!) that she has picked on our walks, etc., I usually hold on to them for a couple of minutes and then pitch them over my shoulder. If she asks, I say, "I don't know...did you put them somewhere?" and play dumb. lol She just goes and picks more. hehehe

haha...my oldest has caught her daddy recycling her artwork from school lol. I really hide it when I recycle, but DH just throws it in there right on top. It's like *doh*...she'll see that for sure w/how colorful and large those things can be sometimes. Luckily we played it off, "Phew! You sure rescued those in the nick of time!"

For flowers...that's why I don't let them bring them home. They get EVERYWHERE. I tell them that they need to leave it so that we can (and other people can) enjoy them the next time we visit.

*heehee* I know such situations that good too... my 3 year old son also loves picking flowers for me and of course they have to be in our living room (or wherever) as long as it goes... or as long as he forget about them when he`s in Kindergarten.

Cute story, Deena ;)

My middle boy is catching onto the whole part of us leaving them inside or throwing them away. We are going to have to get more creative soon. lol
