Holy Earthquake!

Well me and dh did not realize what it was till we actually got up this morning, but there was definitely an earthquake, 5.2 in the center, about 2 hours from here! We both woke up during it, and said what the heck was that, then went back to sleep LOL... Earthquake NEVER crossed my mind LOL.

Oh wow... I really would be shocked if that happened here... but it`s not very possible YET and I do hope it will never be ;)

I woke up to the radio talkin about it. Guess they felt it in Detroit, I'm maybe 10 min from downtown Detroit, I either didn't notice or didn't feel it. lol

That's weird, isn't it? We had one here in Michigan about 20 years ago, too and no one believed me when I said that's what it was.....until it got plastered all over the news!

Yeah that was crazy. We're about a 100 miles away from it and it was pretty intense. I remember there was one when I was growing up but don't remember the felling.
I woke up with an "Oh S@!%" and hit Todd on the shoulder then he woke up. We sat there for a minute to check out the situation and after it was over we just rolled over and went back to sleep. Todd said he probably would of slept through it because he was in a deep sleep. I asked DS if he felt anything funny this morning and he said he felt himself shaking a little bit, but only thought it was his legs shaking because he woke up with no covers and he was alittle cold.

Oh man I thought earthquakes were a California thing and that was a large one that you feel....err if you can wake yourself up! Glad everyone is ok!

Yep I felt that too LOL I was laying here on the couch half asleep, and all of a sudden I popped up... DH goes, yea i feel it too LOL Sophia did not even notice though!

I would not really say it is Uncommon, we actually have one of the biggest faultlines in the world here, (new madrid) but usually they are smaller and not noticeable, plus it is not as active as some faultlines.

Dang! That was close! We've been without internet all day at work so I didn't even get to hear about it until now. I'm in Arkansas and they have talked for years about an earthquake happening one day.
