need a new scanner

well a better one then this piece my husband brought home last weekend.

it's a hp scanjet g3010
i wont' be wanting one of those again.. :)

my other was an epson something or other about 8 years old.. worked like a charm, till the power chord gave out.. boohoo...

any suggestions?
in the price range of $100-$150 would be ideal.. but if it's FABULOUS i'll pay more...
if you know of one cheaper and that actually works, then i'll love you forever!!!!
