Oh man that is tough!
Our church offers a Mother's Day Out program that we used/use. It is only 2 days a week from 9:30 to 2:30.
I would suggest looking into church programs more than schools if all the schools have waiting lists.

I asked around from the moms that we met. When we first moved here, we were at church one weekend and Chris was out in the vestibule with a loud and active Katie and he asked for some recommendations from the other moms of kids about that age.
Do you know anybody in the area at all? What about people from your DH's work? Do any of them have small kids? Maybe they could steer you to a place? Once you get a name of at least one place, you could call that place and if they don't have any space, maybe they could recommend another good place. That's how we got to the MDO where Maggie and Katie go. The recommended place was booked but they suggested this other place that we totally love.

Ask your neighbors, that's how I found the daycare for DS

I found the preschool we used for DD by asking a lady in line at the grocery store. I'd never met her in my life, but she had a cart with two kids in it, so I figured maybe she could at least give me some leads. My advice is to ask around...you never know!

OMW!!! Lol! Yes you never know hey! I actually went to see another lady who has a daycare centre AND a waiting list (yeah!!! He he) But she gave me a number for the Community Resource Centre that has all the Different schools etc. and cross my fingers I sure hope they have something that will suit us all. Geez but I tell you, I am seriously thinking maybe I should open a pre-school. There just is not enough decent ones in this area which is such a pity!!!
