I made another book for my girls. They love it!! Jasmine calls it her "sisters" book because it's about she and her sister :) I wanted to show it off!!
(you can see all the inside pages on my blog (http://joshandcharlene.blogspot.com/2008/08/is-your-mother-goose.html))

http://www.thedigichick.com/gallery/data/1322/cover-500.jpg (http://www.thedigichick.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/120254)

Here's what the pages look like:
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y62/berekah_44/bookpictures.jpg

And the verses:

(Mary Mary, Quite Contrary):
Kewpie, Kewpie, fan of Goofy
How does your room stay clean?
with baby vac
and a singing broom
and mommy's help in between.

(Everyone Loves Ice Cream, from the album "Bert and Ernie's Singalong"):
Everyone loves Jasmine, Yes, indeed, they do
Everyone loves Jasmine, I do, do you?
Search the whole world over, travel near and far
But everyone loves Jasmine, no matter who they are.

(Jack and Jill)
Jasmine and Boo went out with you
to go and see the water.
Boo was wearing her bear backpack
And Jasmine followed after!

(Little Boy Blue)
Little girl Boo
stop playing your flute
There's bread on your plate
And a bowl full of fruit
Where is Rebekah, who’s cute as a sheep?
She's on the carpet, fast asleep!

(Sunshine)
You are my sunshines
My lovely sunshines
You make me happy
When skies are gray
I hope you know dears
How much I love you
Please don't take
my sunshines away!

(Yankee Doodle)
Jasmine and Bekah rode around
On a Merry-Go-Round pony
Stuck a feather in their caps
And thought it very silly!

(Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star)
Think of lovely little Boo
How I wonder about you
What you'll be when you are grown
Will you travel on your own?
Precious, perfect, little Boo
How I pray that God bless you!

(I'm A Little Teapot)
I'm a little Bekah, cute and fair
Here is my smile, here is my hair
When I get all steamed up,
hear me squeal
That's how I tell you
just what I feel

That is super cute, Charlene! Love it!

I'm working on a book, too, but haven't had the time or energy to start the gluing process...one of these days! lol

Thanks

Nicole, it didn't end up as a paper bag book. I ended up using a board book to glue all the pages down. We haven't gotten to a store yet for paper bags, and I'm too impatient when it gets to that part!

I modpodged the fronts, and then glued them to the book (again with modpodge) and after i took the pictures, I put packing tape around all the edges to deter peeling by my peeling-happy daughters  I'm still not doing a very good job gluing down the pages, but the girls don't notice the mistakes so I try not to worry too much :giggle:

I even have my next project planned...Ann's going to love it

Oh...I have some tips now that I read about your peeling corners....

I hardly ever podge over the top of things. It seems to make the paper peel more then it would if I didn't. Another thing is the mod podge you are using. I use MP matte for paper (blue bottle) it seems to perform best with papers that are printed on. I always start with a light layer of MP and then weigh down the page until its dry too. That helps.

Thanks for those tidbits! That's awesome to know!!
I have matte but it's an orange bottle so likely not what you're talking about. I'll look for the other!

I just about the blue bottle. I love how it looks. Charlene, sounds like you have the glossy one that I had before. That one can be very sticky, I think.

A board book... Hmm...

"WAHAAH!"

"No, sweetie. Give the book to Mommy! She wants to make you a Hybrid project with it..."

I love making board books and yours is gorgeous Charlene and how creative of you to come up with all those variations on nursery rhymes! I've never done a hybrid board book but have many from my paper scrapping days. They're so sturdy and so much fun to make and showcase lots of pics.
