Old Cards

What do you guys do with old cards that have sentimental value that you want to save? I have old birthday cards from grandparents, best friends and parents, cards my fiance and I received when we got engaged that I saved...you know what I mean.

I have a basket full of them right now but it just seems like I throw them in there (well, b/c that's basically what I do!). Anyone do anything wonderful with them or even better then throwing them in a basket that sits on the floor?

No suggestions here, either. I'm sure you could do something really cool with them, I'm just not sure what!

yeah, i need suggestions too. DH and i have kept just about every correspondence between the two of us - as well as notes & cards from grandparents, etc. just can't part w/ all that stuff :)

i know, i'm sorry..
i do have some in my cedar chest that my grandmother had given me while i was young.
she passed away a few years ago, and ofcourse now i cherish those cards and her sentimental notes..

but i just don't have room to store all the cards.. (HA! all the cards... what the heck am i saying.. )
it just aint like it used to be is it? we rarely gets cards in the 'mail'... now email...

At least it's good to know I'm not the only one who's stumped on what to do with them! That makes me feel good!

If there are some that are more for style than for sentiment, it would be cool to cut out parts of it and make something, a box or something. But if it's for the sentiment of it, that changes it.
I actually just found one from my mom that's really special to me, and I'm not sure what to do with it.

And then there's all the stuff people made me when I lived overseas...what on earth do I do with that?!?!

I have saved the ones from people that really mean something to us, the couple that set us up, our relatives that we claim, and close friends, otherwise I toss them.
