Ok so I am working on a project for school and I need to poll some of you.

Scenario:

You are a student in a classroom. Which instructional tool would you rather have the instructor use when conducting the lesson.

You don't have to post or anything if you could just take the poll that would be sooooo awesome!

I said the overhead but that's just because a Digital Projector has this electrical hum that gives me a migrane. Otherwise I'd love a digital projector. Chalkboards and dry erase boards are too messy. ;)

Um, I'd say I'd rather have the white board. I dont like the sound of chalk and projectors always make me sleepy when you have to turn out lights......

I voted on white board, but actually it would be cool to mix it with digital projection. The two methods together are very good at keeping my attention (not an easy task if you ask me...)

I voted Dry Erase, but acutally a "Smart Board" is where it's at. Our school has like 5 of them and they ROCK!!!

Whiteboard. Chalk is messy and I am allergic to some. Projectors give me eye strain since you usually have the lights off to use them and I have no night vision.

Every classroom in my DD's school has a SmartBoard and they are FAB, but since that isn't a choice, go with the white dry erase board.

Um, wow these "SmartBoards" sound cool but what exactly are they?

A smart board is a dry erase board that records everything you write on it and processes it back to your computer. You can also display from your computer right on them.

That's sooo cool! Man, I thought we were pretty "with it" in high school when they changed over to white boards :rofl:

Sorry I missed the poll! Since I'm in K-12 Technology, thought I'd chime in. All our classrooms have whiteboards here and there are a ton of SMARTBoards in each of our 14 campuses. Our initiative this year is to ceililng mount projectors in half the classrooms district-wide and the remaining plus a new school next summer. In our newest school, we have our cable TV, computer, and document cams going thru the projector. It makes a world of difference to that child sitting in the back of the classroom and can now see what's being projected. And with the sound system included in the installation, the student can hear it.

And Charla....I'm 25 years removed from my high school.
