Have you read The Shack (http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Shack/William-P-Young/e/9780964729230/?itm=1)?
What are your thoughts on the book? I'm pretty curious over here... but I won't share my thoughts just yet. I'd love to hear from a coupe of you first.

Nope - hadn't heard of it yet.
But it looks good - was it? I put it on my list at the library....

I hadn't heard of it before either, but it sounds pretty good. I checked my 2 libraries & the big one has 15 copies and 63 holds already! Must be a pretty popular book! Luckily the other smaller library has 3 copies but only 9 holds so I'm on the list for it there!

OK... well, maybe I should let a few of you read it yourself to form opinions, lol!
I thought the first 100 or so pages were EXCELLENT, and then once it started getting theologically deep, I have some *huge* issues with key points. To the point where I got mad at it, and shut it, and still have a few chapters to read before its done, LOL!
Then again, this is coming from a pastor's wife with a minor in Bible & Theology.
But don't let me stop you from reading it, I'd love to discuss it when and if you do. :c)

I read it this summer...loved it. I did have to remind myself that it was fiction. I have felt closer to God thinking that He is riding down the road with me as I'm driving somewhere or when leaving my son somewhere, I'm reminded that he isn't really without Him either. I really enjoyed it but didn't let myself think too deeply into it.

I am not a big reader so it was my first in a few years too :) I read lots of books to learn stuff or learn about stuff but have not done fiction since the John Grisham series pre-marriage really ;)
It is kind of neat what the author came through to come to the point of writing that book :)
I did seminary with my husband 1998-2001...that seems so long ago now :)

I heard about the book in passing . . .
Thanks for the link to the interview. I'm listening to it now.
My interest is definitely piqued, I'll have to check it out!
