Hi!
I've been enjoying my first few days here (even though I've only been lurking until now)! I'm a paper-scrapper-going-digital, but don't know whether I will completely give up paper scrapping, though. I love to alter things and make mini-albums too much! LOL! :regular_s
I'm SAHM of five (3 dd's and 2 ds's) and usually work on my projects in the late evening hours when everyone in our home is asleep (much to the chagrin of my dh! LOL!). I've just started looking into digi scrapping two weeks ago, and have been reading as many online tutorials as I can to help me develop my skills. However, if anyone wants to recommend a good book for scrapping with Photoshop 7, I would REALLY appreciate it! :wink_smil
I'm looking forward to learning more from all ya chicks! :60:

Hi,
I'm new here too. I'm from So Cal and pretty new at this too. I do both paper and digi-scrappin and I'm behind in both right now. I like Scott Kelby's Books and use them as a reference all the time. There are so many great tutorials you almost don't even need to buy a book.
Have Fun!

Hi there and welcome! I am new to digiscrappin' myself - it's been 1 month, 2weeks and 3 days since I dsicovered digital!
I use Photoshop 7 too! So, I can recommend Scott Kelby's Photoshop 7 Down and Dirty Tricks and The Photoshop 7 Wow! Book by Jack Davis. The Wow! Book comes with a pretty hefty and exciting CD-ROM. Depending on how familiar you are with computers and how well you adjust to high learning curve will determine the kind of books you might like to try.
Have you seen Jen Strange's Blog? http://jenjen.typepad.com/digiscrap/ It is an indispensable resource. Her code name around these parts is strangejen. She is fantastic and provides this blog of hers for free. It teaches you all the basics of getting around Photoshop 7 and introduces you to freebies, designers and other sites of interest. Hers is a definite must-see.
Great to have you here. Drop me a line anytime to let me know how you are doing!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, ladies, and for the the book recommendations, Kimberly and Tania! I appreciate it and will check them out!
Yes, I've been to Jen's blog, but didn't get to got through much of it...you're right, she has so much info there and from what I've read so far, they've all been very helpful! I can't wait to dig in and read more.
I've been enjoying digi scrapping so much! I can't believe how many more layouts I've been able to work on without having to clean up after each layout. LOL! I'm so excited!!!
Thanks again for all of your encouragement! =)

LOL! I think we all say we won't give up paper in the beginning! But digi is so much easier with kids, I think, haven't pulled out paper in forever! Too much fun that you and your daughter are learning! Welcome!
