It's hard to say anymore :giggle: I used to grab and go, but now I rarely pick up freebies at all (I hardly have time to use the things I get for my CTs :giggle:)

hey kelleigh :) i love templates - so that's pretty much the only freebies i download anymore - but lately i've DL'd a couple of freebie templates that have introduced me to template designers that i've since purchased from :) wow - that's a really long run-on sentence ending in a preposition! ooops!

Same here. I *very* rarely pick up any freebies anymore. When I do, I'll check first to make sure there's something I'd like to buy from that designer.

Like Charla, I barely have time to keep up with my CTs. Not that that actually stops me from buying new kits, too! :giggle:

I found a lot of great designers by freebie hunting . . . and while I might not have purchased from them right then when I downloaded a freebie, sometimes I would go back and purchase.

I found Lorie Davison because she gave away a freebie kit, and then right after that she was having a sale . . . and I bought her entire store, except for one kit. Of course, she didn't have a ton of kits at that time, but I bought six kits that weekend. :giggle:

Do you mind if I ask why you're asking?

I was introduced to a lot of great designers through freebies. That's how I found Nicole... which then led me to TDC! Yay! :jump:

For the DST Insider!

Oh, and I found Nicole through a freebie, too! Well, through another forum where she talked about a Cutterbee post she did, and then I found her freebie!

Yes, freebies help me get to know the designer and decide if I would purchase from them or not. But I don't freebie hunt anymore...

I wouldn't say that I hunt freebies (I did when I first started), but I'm more likely to buy something from someone when I've used their stuff before through a freebie or a collab. I've been burned a few times with a fantastic looking preview and the kit doesn't quite live up to its promise ... (other sites, obviously!)
