Will you guys go vote for my friend Dianne Rigdon? She is competing in a Creative Memories design contest. She's already a HUGE designer in her own right (hello, Prima?), but this would just make her day (or month, or year).

Go to www.creativememories.com and click on Meet the Designers. You'll see some familiar faces . . . but zoom in on sweet Dianne. You'll have to register to vote, but you can click on the "don't send me anything" button. It was easy and fast!

Just voted for Dianne. She obviously made it through round 1 which is great. Some of the comments are a bit out there. Got no eye for beautiful work when they see it!

I voted! I'm glad to see she's still around making beautiful work! And remind us when the next round of voting will be. I do have to agree with pp about some the off the wall even rude comments. Only if they knew the time and effort it is to design.

Yes, I will go and vote. Back in my paper scrapping days, I owned almost ALL of CM non consumable products, not to mention the number of albums.
Haven't been at that site in awhile.

I voted. Her work is wonderful.
And I read several of the comments too. Definitely some 'oh my' ones there.

Ya, know...for a company that sprang to the top way back when, and put then its blinders on...hmmm.

That's how I first got into scrapbooking, through hosting a CM workshop of my own. You should see my ugly first ever paper scrapbook page with CM...those harsh white pages with a couple of patterned paper strips and some triangles to embellish! Oh my! But it did teach me about the photo preservation side of scrapping which I was totally unaware of back then.

Oh, bless your heart, sit down...take a deep breath, cuz here is mine.....
I think, this was created in: 1996...maybe
I used every scissors and shape available on one page.

Oh my gosh Michelle! That looks so funny doesn't it...mine would be something along those lines with every photo cut out with their cutting tools. Do you know how many photos I wasted cutting out into all shapes and sizes. Gosh, if I ever knew what I was doing back then! Thanks so showing us as mine is totally embarrassing too :)

Ok, seriously I just checked this out and can someone say "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all" LOL..I can't believe the comments that were left that were not nice, maybe honest but not nice, I think some people need a filter, and maybe need a balance on when to share honesty and when not to and how to share it in a nice way, uggg...people! Dianne's stuff is beautiful :) Actually they are all nice!

Oh, gosh... CM was exactly why I took so long to get into scrapbooking. It wasn't until I saw an issue of CK in 2004 and my jaw dropped to the floor! It's now such an art form.

I agree, Nicole. I was NOT excited about scrapbooking after seeing some of the albums I was seeing. BLECH. It took some convincing to get me to even look at CK, but once I did and saw that not everyone scrapped the CM way, I was hooked!

Can you even believe that people still scrap like that? (shudder)

I am right there with you, *shudder* is just the right word to describe it, I would like to see them go out of the box a little, that would be cool but I don't know that they ever will really get out of there box...:) I think that contest is great though, but there must be guidelines as to what they can design?? hmmmm interesting :)
